The one thing that sticks out to me is that Saints seem to be doing a lot more going forward and in defence than Leeds. Normally it's one or the other. Maybe Leeds games have just been at slower pace to Saints this year. The amount of tackles per game Saints seem to be making too may also be a reason why they have not been clicking going forward. Overall though after 5 rounds both teams look pretty even over the park.

Just pointless stats again, unless we had played the same teams at the same grounds its irrelevant.

It's more a look at the teams workrates in different areas rather than a direct "head to head".

You gotta think aswell St Helens played in that freak 4-0 game against the Crusaders. And your suprised they've made more tackles.....................?

But in total they have made nearly 300 more than us. Thats a full games worth of tackles

But again if you work out how many points they've let in this season and compare that:

Saints Have conceeded 52
Leeds Have conceeded 44

Within that also Saints have had a match where they have conceeded 0. So you could say Yes Saints are making more tackles but its getting them nowhere because they are letting in more points???? I think I'll leave stats for now though....Interesting comparison still!

The thing that sticks out for me is that the Leeds and St Helens average errors are less than the range they have produced over the five matches. That would be illogical captain.

The range would suggest it matters a great deal who you are facing and in what conditions. Perhaps Round 13 would be a good time to look at the averages after everyone has faced everyone else.

Well I was going to post missed tackles too but when I saw Leeds had only missed 8 all year (even though in RL&LE we missed 30+ at the weekend) I thought I better not. Plus I really dont know what to believe off the SL website anymore after that thread the other day... just thought this would give a rough guide.

It doesn't matter what the stat's show really last year they were 20 odd matches unbeaten,scoring tries for fun and odds on favourites at old trafford and we all know what happened there!!
This is a SL fixture that really is decided by the best team on the day and either 1 is capable of grinding out a low scoring win or blasting the other 1 off the park.

Again... not a head to head viewing as such... just the stats of the 2 teams so far.

That's not altogether the problem here though is it. More like you taking 65 and 67 respectively dividing by 5 and coming up with 7, that's the bigger issue.



The team missed tackles have always been a complete fook up on the SL site. The Leeds players individually have missed 133 this season while the team has only missed a total of 8.

God knows how I worked that out then

i'd be interested to know how many of the errors were unforced!

The only stat that matters is what's on the scoreboard at 9.40/9.45pm on Friday.
