Leeds tactics are simple. It may look boring and like we dont have a clue but Bradford have a young bench. By playing in the forwards we are tiring them out and I believe we will score a few in the 2nd half. We have only been in an attacking position 3 times remember. 1 try, 1 knock on when a try was a cert and a forward pass which would have resulted in another.


I expect a more expansive game from midfield onwards in the 2nd half and Leeds to win by 14-20 points.

Probably but they are playing well and keeping the hold of the ball and their discipline. The same can't be said for Leeds atm.

I'd agree with this. Bradford and saints were very similar 4 yrs ago, both clubs had great teams but no money and poor ground. Bradford decided to replace expensive players with poor one to save money, their crowds are now very poor and they dont win anything. Saints plan was pretty basic, we need to get to nearly every major final as the revenue is all that can sustain us. One plan has (so far) worked

I think the major problem was the depth of the indebtedness at Bradford, coupled with the obligations to maintain a huge and crumbling stadium that the previous management had signed up for - there is an esteemed Bulls supporter who is known to those around these parts who had some sight of the numbers involved and a few years ago his view was that by now the Bulls would not exist, the fact that they do speaks volumes for the stringent financial management that has been forced upon them, they are in the same place now as Leeds were in 96/97 and its probably only this fact that keeps McNamara in his job - everyone at the club knows he'd do things differently with more money and if they use him as a scapegoat then the next coach in line will want to spend money that they've denied McNamara - they have to tough it out.

Well with Brent Webb not making any attempt to go back to the line when the ball is being played, I think the VR was right.

Thats my point though saints last management nearly bankrupted the club, when mr mac took over he had two choices, do what bradford have done, or use the £500000 - £1000000 gained by getting to both finals every year to keep us going, the latter strategy is very risky, but has worked. I am a saints shareholder and these are the figures released at the agm not just made up

we seem to have changed the rules to allow blockers now. taking a man out off the ball should be a penalty regardless of how near the action it happens. smith and alibert are making the rules up as they go on
