GH may well have agreed a deal with Lolohea weeks before his signing was announced, but he would have been talking to Sinfield weeks before his appointment was announced also. I don't believe that the signing would have gone ahead without Sinfields agreement, indeed his comments at the time suggested that he was delighted with Lolohea's signing.

I don’t either, and wasn’t suggesting that. However, it would be a pretty poor first job for someone in that role to cancel an agreement already made. Not sure you would have any goodwill going forward once that message got out.

Tui could still prove to be an excellent signing. However his best position is at fullback where he shows real class. His linking into the attacking line and superb passing have already created a bundle of tries in just two outings at fullback. OK he is overweight but this need not be a long term concern with the right management. He also is not the best tackler but neither was Barba and he was the runaway Man of Steel. So I for one would like to see him have an extended run at fullback.

FB is definitely his best position, can't see him scoring breakaway tries from his own 20 like Barba did though, unless he's given oxygen on half way.

The problem is we have Walker, Golding and Lolohea who are all full backs, but are weak in other areas.

Walker is our best full back. But.. is it worth having a look at him at standoff perhaps

Perhaps not as good a try scorer as Barba but he has a better pass than Barba or Walker and could be another Webb

Sutcliffe deserves to keep his position at stand off for now. It could be worth playing Walker, Golding or even Newman on the wing.

Definitely can't see Walker sticking around if he starts getting shunted to the wing.

He’s got a 3 year contract hasn’t he, I’m sure Furner will pick the best team and not worry about upsetting a 19 year old kid.

Why would a 19 year old take his bat home if he gets rested. If that's the case his attitude stinks. He is a fantastic young prospect and if he keeps his feet firmly on the ground and takes onboard good quality advice then he will have the world at his feet, if he listens to his agent and starts believing he is better than others then there is no future for him at the Rhinos. There is no SL club that he will simply walk into and full back. He does not have either the knowledge or experience to be playing full back at his age in SL. He will if he keeps his feet on the ground become a top quality player, at the moment he is on a learning curve. Strangely I would play TUi at FB, he is a FB and has the experience. Walker needs a rest, a holiday and some time gaining more experience with the academy, if not he will burn himself out.

Walkers over academy age. If he's not playing for leeds then he needs games somewhere.

One good game vs lower league opponents doesn't make Tui the solution either.

Why are people saying Walker has this bad attitude?

Nope. Although neither does it rule him out as the best means of giving Walker a break if the lad is carrying a knock or two.

It’s down to the silly PR stunt the club pulled with those previous contract talks, trying to pressure the lad. All he wanted was a guarantee in those talks to concentrate on fullback to fight for a first team place, knowing he was better than the competition. They gave him that, he signed the contract, took the shirt and won a grand final. One of them was right, and it wasn’t the club.

Where he goes from there on development, I doubt would be any issue for him, as he just wants to play. This is why I keep saying about the nonsense some keep posting. That said, anyone who thinks he will make a winger in the modern game, are sadly very naive, he wouldn’t.

On the Tui issue though. I don’t think Sutcliffe is as good a half as him, however the team seems to work better with that change. Potentially the same could be the case at fullback too with Tui and Walker, just the other way.

Don't think Ava will be playing Friday. Hes still at home looking at social media. Also not played in first team since June so will be rusty

I agree with the last bit: no way is he a winger. I'm not entirely convinced FB would have been his best option back then either though it's probably too late to look at developing him as a half back now. I just think he could well do without the heavy tackling and running the ball back that the FB role entails while still having that opportunity to influence the game and act as a support runner.

I've not seen anything in walker's game to suggest he would make a great halfback. He is slowly learning how to join the line as a FB but his passing really isn't great. Ironically that is where Tui does add something.

It's a tough but nice position for the club with those two and Golding on the books at the moment. One will surely have to leave at the end of this season though.

Think your wrong on the passing. But can see all three going to be honest.
