WRT Farke my daughters partner plays football at a high level in Norwich and has played against Norwich Vets who have 2 or 3 ex Norwich players in their ranks.
They have all said he is a really good supportive manager but does lack that cutting edge tactically.

If you offered me the playoffs now, I'd snap your hand off. The cutting edge and extra quality you need have now gone and don't look like being replaced with anywhere near the same quality. We only have a 19 man squad - the smallest in the league.

This team will not finish in the top 2 unless significant signings are made.

Bamford & Piroe looked terrible last night, last night should be the trigger to move Bamford on and Piroe simply disappeared.
Wober & Aaronssen - were Wober & Aaronssen - way off the pace, not good enough for Leeds.

Brings x5 players on while keeper is down on the deck and bleeding - that couldve been fun.
Completely overrun in midfield and the same horrid defensifive lapses and zero pace at the back yet again cost us dearly.
Never a dull moment as a Leeds fan.

To be fair to Bamford he has been out for months. Aronson was ok imo. You can’t play Piroe at 10 and Rothwell in midfield.. they will get out run. Where’s the Ampadu from last season also? Same for Rodon.

Regarding the transfer business, they’re now on the back foot and other clubs will know we have loads of money.. so we are no longer in control.. Summerville replacement should have been in by now. I just don’t get the strategy. Why isn’t Kamara replacement sorted yet… crazy..

Bamford is nearly 31, with a horrendous injury record. He has a young family and is on 35k a week. There's no way he leaves, he wouldn't get a better deal anywhere else

16/17 outfield players and 4 or 5 of them are nowhere near good enough and a couple more are still very young to play 20+ games a season yet which says it all about how the board have handled this.

I'm really down and frustrated by this sale, in particular, and all the optimism I had has all but gone. But I'm not as angry about the release clauses as most. They're a normal and very common part of football, and I doubt any player would agree to sign a contract with a team in a relegation battle, or a team outside the PL without one.

I just wish they'd get a move on and sign some players.

rutter had some magic moments but was also a liability at times. imo if, and it's a big if, the right player is signed then he is replaceable

Szmodics would have been ideal in the Rutter role but once again we sit on our hands like we did with Moore who is in a different class to Bamford and Piroe.
One theory about how we played last night could be down to the team knowing Rutter was leaving and it affected them on the pitch.
He is highly rated and thought of by the players so you never know.

Giving Rutter a £40m buyout clause when he cost £30 odd million made it a very risky deal for Leeds with not much upside.

Joe Donahue's article yesterday in YEP is very stinging of the current situation and the Owners silence. Says it's time for them to give a clear message and strategy to fans at very least. They're creating bad feeling. Also questioning their end of season and early transfer window messages to fans. Worth a read and it's spot on.
