Anyhow for what it is worth, I terminated my Sky Bet, my Tote, my Hills, my Coral betting accounts last night and have got my £200 back.

The bookies over the road where I live, I will be going in after work today to self exclude myself.

You said that a few months ago. When I read your post, I wrote a rather long piece and although I haven't given gambling up, I have been alot more disciplined. I don't play the FOBT's, the bandits, the games online, or very rarely play the roullette as house always as the edge. I pity people who put thousands on any of the above (although the roullette is slightly different).


My online account over 1 month, 1 week and 4 days shows I am 47 pence down. It's all about self discipline. When I once saw a man putting around 600 in the roullette then he was holding back the tears when he put his last 50 pence in the machine. Putting odd 10/20 is fine, but I have no sympathy for people who put hundreds in computerized (sp) money making machine and think they will make a nice profit.

You will never see a poor bookie.

Anyway back on topic (if there is even one), how does posting the odds available to a match you would be tempting to gamble on encourage you not to gamble.




Tell you what, I will be your personal bookie. I'll give you better odds than any other bookie, and when Bradford win, I'll give you 20% back of the money staked that day.
