Yes, Barrie referred to Jamie in his speech and they seemed have made their peace. Which is good because life's too short to carry on squabbles.

The night was a great success with Leroy's 1999 shirt raising £500 in the auction.

G1 - Masella smiled all night long just as he did at the 1999 homecoming - no animosity that he was left out of the final team. He's one very special guy.

Last night was the third one I've been to after the 77 and 68/78 ones and IMO was the best of the lot, maybe that was just because it meant more to me having actually been at the final in 99.

Was great to see the reception Iestyn, Moz and Newton got. Masella is a legend, even based the colours of his construction company on Leeds club colours! Seeing the highlights of the 99 final brought back how unlucky Sheridan was not to win Lance Todd, was outstanding in that cup run.

Was that the year of his famous ball steal against Bradford straight from the scrum?
