Quote ="craigizzard"Well as he played against Hull, every time Burrow has been an interchange 9 against one of the better clubs (top 5) we have been absolutely steamrollered while he has been on. He has good defence for a man his size but is simply not capable of playing as a defensive hooker against a well-coached club, and if you hide your hooker in fringe defence it pulls the rest of the team out of shape.
Now he's showing some form, he should be played at 7. That way we won't have to play our most successful ever stand-off at scrum-half and our most successful ever loose-forward at stand-off. If Buderus can't do the full 80 then we also have a perfectly decent interchange hooker in Paul McShane, who was playing very well earlier in the season until, like Luke Burgess, he fell out with our coach and the subsequent shunning of McShane has led to playing 3 central players out-of-position, which, has I've said, as proved fine against Hull, not so great against Saints or Wire.'"
Would actually seriously agree with all of this.
However, I would still give Hardaker a run at SO in a couple of the remaining league fixtures.
The club will recognise the CC is the only chance of silverware this season so will probably want to increase the chances of preserving the fitness of the likes of McGuire ( and Peacock ) for the CC matches anyway.
