Thanks speccyrhino, you have saved me a job there, but can't believe you let everyone into the 'secret' of where to get hold of the operational rules! I dine out on quoting the operational rules on this board
MHL - In actual fact, I am lead to believe it is very practical. For instance I suspect that Buderus will have been removed (and replaced) and is therefore not currently listed as being part of our first team squad because he is medium term injured. As speccy said, the rules have latitude while trying to maintain the integrity of the best possible team selection. If you know a player is only short term injured you probably don't bother removing them from your first team squad, because you have up to eight 'spare' squad players. Medium to long term you remove them and have your strongest 25 fit/short term injured players as your first team squad.
So the point I am making is that if Huddersfield try to pull the wool over the RFL's eyes of 'break the rules' they could get a very large fine. They might not be, as I don't think the RFL public list the current registered first team 25 of each SL side, but then again...
