Sky shouldnt have put that game on in the first place, they confirmed it after the semi final, surely they knew that Huddersfield would rest players a week before the final. Should have had Wakefield vs Warrington on (but that could be the same scenario of resting players) however, Warrington need to get themselves into a top 8 spot.

A major mistake from Huddersfield. They have a real chance to finish top 2. If they went out and beat Stains, then they could put themselves in a strong position - especially with the two teams above them playing each other the next game.

I predict they will now lose the cup final and fail in the playoffs. Big, big mistake and a major judgement error.

dont talk silly...for me the giants had to win against the bulls on sunday night to continue an attempt to finish in the top two but after losing i think we have settled for 3/4 place (not much diff in 3rd or 4th finish, still play u or saints away and get two bites at the cherry)

was always going to leave players out for the saints match a week before the cup final.. a few of the players do have knocks

The size and depth of the giants squad dictates that they should look to rest some of their "better" players before a cup final imo.

Tis true. I think if I were a Giants fan I would have liked to maintain the momentum you had a couple of weeks ago, but if it all goes to plan, a Challenge Cup win would do wonders for restoring momentum. The difference between 3rd and 4th is pretty minimal, so I can see why Nathan Brown would want to do this. Shame for Leeds as it reduces the chance of Saints getting turned over, but such is life. Huddersfield don't exist to keep Leeds happy. They will when I'm King, but that's a story for another time.

Beaten by the Bulls and thrashed by Stains is not preparation for a cup final, although potentially it may not effect the game - it could well be all on the day. However, if they lose the cup final then they are looking at another beating the week after and all of sudden they go into the playoffs with all the momentum of a garden snail and the semi victory against Stains is just a distant memory.

Mark my words...

If this had have been one of the bigger clubs I expect some people's reaction may have been slightly different.

There would probably be more outrage in some quarters. I'm consistent though, I've always felt that the club has the right to pick whoever it wants form their squad and all the nonsense about "disrespect" for the competition is just that; nonsense.
