| Went into the Cas shop today. There's no wonder we are losing money with prices the way they are in the club shop! A poor quality hoody for women £34. Disgrace. I'm all for supporting my club, but there's a barrier between that, and sheer lunacy.
Needless to say in the times we are now in, no-one in my house will be getting anything with a Castleford emblem on it for Christmas this year.
And guess what...? The shop was dead. What a surprise.

| Hubby went in on saturday (not a rugby fan) he said the prices of some of the gear was ridiculous.
He said most football teams prices are cheaper by far than than the gear in the cas shop. He does buy lots of football gear by the way.
Who exactly does the pricing.

I don't know who does the pricing but it's ridiculous. FWIW my mum went and compared some items with the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats online shop, and they are by far cheaper.

Last i heard Primani didn't make RL merchandise.

I'll be damned if i do. As i have already said. FWIW i don't think Puma is all it's cracked up to be. I thought the Kukri gear was much longer lasting.
Quote ="binks"Ps my wakey friends will clarify but I think there new stock hasn't hit the shops yet ?'"
I can only quote prices of what is already on their online store, which is much cheaper by the way. And i'm sure when their new stock hits the shops, it will be much cheaper also.

Whatever mate. At least they are thinking of the fans, and not putting a hole in their pockets at the one time of year everybody is skint to start off with.
By the way... Didn't we make a loss this year for the first time in god knows how long...?

But Cas aren't holding a gun to your head and telling you that you must buy goods at this time of year? Equally, all clubs charge prices like that. Look at Warrington with ISC: shop.warringtonwolves.org/123/20 ... Range.aspx
A jacket on there is £60.00.
We made one profit out of the last god knows how many losses. Rugby League is a loss-making sport. There are only 2/3 clubs that turn a profit.

| Puma hoodie from Sports Direct, you can get for £20, stick a Cas badge on it and then it will be £40, so your paying £20 for the badge.

Everything seems cheaper in the Cas shop than that of Tottenham who also have their merchandise supplied by Puma
shop.tottenhamhotspur.com/catego ... r?TRE00034
Pricing is always going to be a tough decision but I'm always happy with Puma products and if we decided to go for a cheaper supplier like others do then there would be complaints about that.

Pricing the stock as they are, they are expecting us to pay that amount.
The thing is... I would love to show up on boxing day with the whole family wearing the clubs colours, looking fresh and wearing new merchandise. But the club simply arn't making that affordable. At one time it was affordable to do that.
With all due respect mate. 1. ISC is a far superior quality brand to Puma, and 2. Warrington fans in general [imay[/i be tempted to dig a bit deeper.

| You have to remember that Cas will get it at X cost from Puma and will then have to increase price for both margin and profit.

We all have our opinions mate. And mine is that i don't particularly have any love for Puma. Thew first year we had them the shirt was primrose yellow rather than Amber. The second year Diggerland fell off the front in a matter of weeks. And last year the same happened with the Probiz logo. Added to that we are way down their love list because they have so many [ibigger[/i sports clubs as their customers.
On a positive note, at least we do now get the home shirt in store for Christmas! Which i am pleased about.

Always thought the ISC leisurewear was better than Puma's.
The polyester polo shirts by Puma in the club shop have a naff feel to them, as much as i would like a cotton replica playing shirt i have to accept Puma will make them out of polyester but the polo shirts as well?

I'm with you on that - the fabric used for all modern replica shirts is bloody awful; makes you sweat like a fat lass in a nightclub.
I'd pay an extra tenner for a good quality cotton shirt, with a proper collar.

Well said Bren.
As far as the wakey stuff is concerned, the shirt IMO is awful, but the rest of the macron stuff, and indeed all of the macron stuff (inc the shirts) last year, is/was very good.
I will be buying a hoody instead of a shirt this year, and i think it will be more than £34.

| I decided to get some of the Hull FC training wear for Christmas this year. paid £22 each for 2 t-shirts but the quality is second to none.
They also had all their range in stock well before Christmas and plenty of it too
Cas stuff has always been poor, not only in quality but design and price as well. In previous years I always bought both home and away shirts every year. The past few years I have only bought one (except last season when they reduced the price!) as price and quality gets worse.
Not sure whether I will get either this coming season, I will wait until the away design is released before making a decision, but if previous years is anything to go by the away shirt might be the only option by the time it comes out as we always seem to have limited stock and don't bother to get anymore throughout the season
