For anyone holidaying in the south west in the last week of August, can I let you know about the Cornwall vs Devon Rugby League game scheduled for August 24th?
It’s the second annual encounter between these great Westcountry rivals, and will be played at the Mennaye Ground, home of Championship club Cornish Pirates. There’s a report of the forthcoming fixture, and details of the venue, on the Pirates website here: cornish-pirates.com/news/news-ar ... gby-league.
It would be brilliant for the game if we can produce a good crowd for the 6.30pm kickoff.

If it isn't specifically about Cas, or specifically for Cas fans, then it is a 'general post' that needs to be on the general board. It really is that simple!
By your 'holidaying explanation' it is applicable to every RL follower, not just Cas. So rather than put it on 'every' forum as your logic would command, it really needs to go on a forum accessed by all RL followers.
Otherwise you'd find every other clubs PR team making posts on all forums 'just incase' RL fans are working, holidaying, passing by.....their club and want to see an RL game.
Let's be straight with each other, it's just a SPAM post by some guy wanting to up their gate attendance! |

Lots of fans read their own forums, but not the VT. I presume some Cas fans get holidays, maybe you're just a little jealous Grobs? Hey, there might even be some Cas fans with relatives in Cornwall. Posting a rugby league post on a rugby league forum about a rugby league match might seem like spam to you, but as the title was 'Cornwall vs Devon', you could simply have ignored it and moved on. |

You're missing the point entirely.... all 101+ RL teams, (yes even Wakey & Fev) may have fans on holiday in Cornwall or Devon...... or relatives, or business calls etc etc etc in that region on that specific day. So should the OP have put it on every forum just in case?
Should Cas put posts on every forum?...... just in case any RL fans are passing J32 on Sunday with a couple of hours spare, perhaps you're visiting realtives in the area, or on your way to/from York or the coast for a weekend break.....
Oh, I'd be so jealous if someone let it slip that they were going to Grimsby for the day!!! LOL  |

Having worked down there for 10 years in the 90's glad to see the game getting on down there. Played for exeter union to get my fix boo booo.
Would have gone to see this if i still worked down there thanks for highlighting it

Cornwall's a long pointy county. The game's at the end of it. It's about 100 miles, 2 hours plus. But don't let that put you off... and Penzance is very nice. |
