If it's the same inncident where he ran the ball out and tried fending off the player. The keighley player hit ryans forearm as he raised it to hand the player off. Ryan had 2 players tackling him at the same time one round his waist the other round his legs. He saw the keighley player running in raised his arm to fend but the keighley player hit the arm and bounced off it. I honestly dont think ryan used intent but maybe his past will now catch up with him and the RFL will run out of patience and give him a one game ban. I do hope not.

I can't say I'm suprised- it did look quite bad. Considering he got a warning for the same the against Hull two weeks ago, he was quite silly to do it.
It's a real shame, he has been awesome for us this year, probably the best form in a Cas shirt I'd say. Typically it is over the easter period too, when we need all hands on deck.
Never mind, Richard Owen will presumably be filling in there with Wainwright coming in on the wing I would imagine.

I saw the incident and it was just after he had the ball stolen one on one. The way i saw it was he ran straight at the bloke who had just taken the ball of him and struck him. This to me suggests Mcgoldrick took objection to been made to look like a fool and went for revenge.

Im a big fan of Mcgoldrick but deserves a ban IMO.

In theory yes, nothing to do with it. However, in practice, if injury does occur there does tend to be more emphasis put on the incident, and more often than not, a more lengthy ban.

e.g Mr Mason of Hudds, runs in to punch a goons player during a dust up-result no ban, just a fine.

Do you really think if he'd have broken someones jaw he'd have got the same treatment from the disciplinary?

I don't think you're guessing right... 1 to 4 seems to be the grading system, not an automatic number of matches banned.
