Exactly. I would be more worried about the situation Bradford are in the Castleford. At least we have assets that we actually own!

But the promises are being fulfilled. The RFL cannot force these things in the current economic climate and they have to show a little understanding.
You also keep believing that the stadium is the only relevant factor; it isn't. Cas will be a B licence once the stadium starts getting built.

What promise has been fulfilled ?? we have no stadium and no new news ??

We have full planning permission for a new stadium. We can build the new stadium tomorrow if we wanted. There IS going to be a stadium.
Just because we don't have news, doesn't mean the RFL don't. As I've said, they are fully aware of the situation and are fully appreciative of that.

The obvious question is if you can, why isn't it there???
Your simplification of the situation is in stark contrast to what everyone can see and defies what blatantly is hampering you thus far, it makes you stand out as a beacon of hope in bleak isolation I'm afraid.

The simple fact: we don't have the money. And it's generally more expensive to build it in stages.
Our primary asset needs to be sold before it can be built. If we had Ā£15m it would be built tomorrow.
That is the reality of the situation.

You misread the context of what I meant in a sense: I was merely pointing out that we CAN build the stadium - there are no planning hurdles from preventing us from doing so. If you read the first line of my comment, you would have understood that.
As it is, your comments could be conceived as a very well hidden attempt at trolling.

| Not misleading in any way. We have full planning permission, therefore, we can legally start building the stadium tomorrow. The only issue is funding, which is currently tied up in asset.

| It will be very interesting after next week when Wakey get their full planning permission. They have the funds (they claim) so no doubt building will start straight away. Or will it ?

Now we've cleared up that little issue.
Can you explain your certainty over "There IS going to be a stadium"? because i can see no concrete evidence of this.
I can see how you have reasons for some optimism, but that is a long way from guaranteeing what you need (i.e the money required) to complete the task.
That is a huge guarantee with little by way of evidence to back it up, and you can understand peoples scepticism?

Of course its misleading, you cannot start to build, without any money to pay for the job which you don't have yet, legal paperwork or otherwise.
Sometimes Fully you make simplicity so difficult!!!

That we will soon see (fingers crossed) i would hope that following a short delay (which i am lead to believe will be for the FPP to be agreed) we will be moving men and equipment quickly.
I'm sure SWAG or I_A will be able to clarify this for you, it is after all a time consuming exercise all this building lark.

I am just fine and dandy over it all, I'm sure everything will fall into place and equally i hope you get your issues sorted too.
I would see no benefit to WTWs position in SL or the district as a RL whole, if Cas failed to deliver and i can think of numerous clubs less worthy of a place in SL.
But these are the realities of life in SL.

I'm not sure it's as straightforward as that - the developer will still need to obtain detailed planning permission, but my understanding is that the work is virtually done and it will be ready to submit relatively quickly - I think it then has about a 5 week turnaround.
Following that, it will of course come down to funding, although with the news that Langtree are involved, that might be less of a hurdle than we thought.
Either way, at this stage things are looking brighter for us, although it's by no means the end of the story; this is WTW after all!

| Full PP is usually 8-12 weeks Bren in terms of WMDC's turnaround for planning.
And Kinley, I'm pretty sure you're just stirring for the sake of it now. I knew it would descend down this path as soon as I posted: you Wakey lot just simply cannot resist.

I've seen 5 weeks somewhere - maybe WMDC have agreed to push it through quicker? Either way, Sir Rodney Walker has indicated that with a positive deicison from the PI, the Trust would envision the stadium being ready during the 2014 season.
I don't think Kinley is stirring to be honest - you have to admit that saying "we could build it tomorrow" was a bit of an open goal!

| But we can build it tomorrow? There is nothing false with that statement in any sense. We can start digging and start laying bricks. We wouldn't get very far in building something looking like a stadium but nonetheless we can start tomorrow because we have full planning permission. Simples really.
As for 5 weeks, I'm not sure where that would come from? My understanding is that irrespective of the type of planning, they all usually take the same amount of time although admittedly I'd guess that Outline PP takes much longer than Full PP to go through.
But as I was ridiculed on the other thread on the VT for, I would guess that this is based on everything being a best-cae scenario. I still believe that several conditions would have to be met and who knows what the Gov't will do if it does get the green light.

Hope not - that would be the death of CT. No doubt that is what some posters on here would like to see happen.
If the rumours are to be believed regarding a take-over at CT I honestly think we will be staying at Wheldon Road.

That might not be such a bad idea - you could sell the lease to the RFL to raise a load of capital, then rent it back from them for a market rate.
Oh, hang on...
