If I felt he was innocent, then maybe I'd agree with you, but for me, he was very silly and will be lucky to escape some kind of ban. |

I saw the incident and it was just after he had the ball stolen one on one. The way i saw it was he ran straight at the bloke who had just taken the ball of him and struck him. This to me suggests Mcgoldrick took objection to been made to look like a fool and went for revenge.
Im a big fan of Mcgoldrick but deserves a ban IMO.

In theory yes, nothing to do with it. However, in practice, if injury does occur there does tend to be more emphasis put on the incident, and more often than not, a more lengthy ban.
e.g Mr Mason of Hudds, runs in to punch a goons player during a dust up-result no ban, just a fine.
Do you really think if he'd have broken someones jaw he'd have got the same treatment from the disciplinary?  |

I don't think you're guessing right... 1 to 4 seems to be the grading system, not an automatic number of matches banned. |

The Grading system is A-F - Goldie's was a grade C, which has a weighting of a 1-4 games in terms of the ban length. |

Well that's me told.. Bugger! I was looking at some of the others and spotted "2 - Send off sufficient / No further action", so christ knows what that '2' is all about. |
