Yes it was that bad. By far the best player for Fax was Wayne Rettie, a player I don't think is good enough for a team which wants to win things. Put him in the 2nd row and he could be a good player, but if every Fax player had put in the effort he did we would have won that game easily as Barrow were not a good team at all. Tony Tonks was good along with Murrell but thats about it. In the end we just couldn't wait for the game to finish and get away, we were so poor. At least the brewery visit made the journey worthwhile!

Embarrassing ?We all have games like that to watch , as a Leigh supporter , our League Game with Fax earlier in the Season was Dire , everything Fax did came off , everything Leigh did went wrong , but this happens , even the Worrier looked good that day

, but we got over it .

Aye, but as you point out on other posts cc, your team is on the up, we are going backwards. Our last two games have brought defeats against teams we have previously put 60/50 past.

But they didnt put the effort in and the best TEAM on the day won. Stop belittling our team and accept you got beat fair and square..just because you scored 50 against us twice at your place doesnt give you rights to score 50 points at our gaff let alone beat us

Im sure you don't need me to tell you , every game is different , put 50 past a team one week , they may beat you the week after , that's Sport , Fax are not a bad team , thing go wrong after our League game at the Shay I felt we were very low , but that's life , whatever we did went wrong , Fax looked like worldbeaters that day , but that's all it was , on the day .

There are a few ups and down left before the end of the season , I wouldn't like to call who contests the GF in our League , owt can happen ,this is one thing Charlie doesn't know .

Personally,i thought Barrow played very well.I felt for the Barrow fans
at the Shay when the same faces came twice in a short space to endure
50 point beatings.They deserved a day like that.

Their attack was the type I wouldnt mind seeing at Fax. Quick hooker, good quick scrum half and lots of dummy runners and options for the guy with the ball. The inside pass split us a few times and caught out our lazy defence on a few occasions.

They certainly deserved the win and to celebrate it in the manner they did.

I thought exactly the same.They looked to have so much time on the
ball all through the game.Our markers were ineffective and our line
speed was pedestrian as usual which obviously helped them.

several Fax fans congratulated us on the way out and were very gratious in defeat....many thanks to those guys

Barrow were definitely the best team and fully deserved the win. My point was that this type of performance wasn't a one off by Fax. I certainly do not want to knock Barrow but they aren't a top team, the league table tells you that. In the 1st half they were as poor as us but 2nd half they saw they had nowt to fear and outplayed us. Summats got to change and most fans know what that is. I only hopeKarl does

Charlie DOESNT patronise anybody , I never have and never will , I just just give my opinions , if folk don't like them , they can lump them , the GF can be anybodys , I don't take anything for granted .
