think you will find its the under 23s that are going down there,,,,,

Would still be worth the trip down there though as its a free Sunday and Wrexham is not all that far its not like going to south Wales.

Wonder if they will give some of the first team a run if tomorrows game is called off like its looking or maybe try and re-arrange it.

Got to be fair to them, they brought more than 100 to Leigh East for a Friday night game last week. When I went to the Racecourse for their cup game against Catalans the other year they were very enthusiastic about their team and the game as a whole. Even an average 700+ would be a good start in Championship One.

Our first home game under the new banner of North Wales Crusaders was last Sunday against Rochdale Hornets and the attendance was 751on a bitterly cold day. We’ve only played two friendlies and won both games, which isn’t bad for a team that has only been playing together for the last 3 weeks. Sunday will be a step up for the lads even if it’s only against your under 23’s.

So far the Cru has already sold more season tickets than last year

They are only opening the Mold Road Stand and you pay on the gate. Last Sunday the game was delayed by 5 mins due to queues. So I would advise getting to the Racecourse early although the club has said more gates will be open this week.

The Turf pub is at the side of the Mold Road Stand and a warm Welsh welcome will be waiting

How many of this season's u23s are staying on from last year?

Still tempted to go across, but being my day will start in York and I probably won't be up til lunchtime its unlikely, plus Snow is forecast isn't it?

I'm not too familiar with the bulk of last season's squad, but I understand about half a dozen lads were retained, maybe including the likes of Josh Barlow & Jesse Jo Sherriff, but I'm not certain. I think it's a planned 2.30 kick off so you probably wouldn't make it in time !
I understand there's another two friendlies arranged but unsure who against and when but I believe they'll be away fixtures.

Kick off time is to be confirmed, as it clashes with Wales 6 nations game against Ireland which kicks off at 3. Think the Crusaders have requested an earlier time and are waiting for conformation from Halifax. I will post if I hear any more but check before you travel just in case.

Rumours are that they have requested a 1 o'clock kick off.

The kick-off will be 1pm.

Don't think there'll be a programme, but hope there'll be a team sheet - we're still trying to put names to faces as we have a completely new squad.

Yeh and a few players from Leigh's amateur clubs so it should be a close game.

And all have made a great impression in the first 2 friendlies, creating and scoring some cracking tries especially in the 50-22 win last week
