As many of you know we at Leigh Centurions are in serious financial difficulties with a current shortfall of £144k. Players and staff wages have not been paid, The Inland Revenue are at the door and we are in danger of vanishing. Proposals have been put in motion to make the club a community club and to come out of this stronger but in the meantime we need to raise cash.

Thanks for the support. It was actually you guys who gave me the idea. When you were in trouble I paid £22 for a t shirt on one of your auctions. I then paid for it and told you to realist when I realised my mrs would not allow an unwashed Fax training top in the house, signed or not.
Blue Sock, thanks for the support on the other board but I actually agree with him. If you have a limited amount to spend with nothing spare spend it on your own club. I would and rightly so. Having said that you should buy a signed Leigh shirt, you know you want to.

I feel a little sad actually,
I have checked this post on all the "Super League" forums and unless I am wrong only Huddersfield and Bradford have responded.
Huddersfield wished well, Bullsh*tes seemed to think it was funny.
I think out of the Championship clubs who were polled only us have offered our support.
All I am saying is that, never mind the politics, Championship needs Leigh.
Rugby League needs clubs like Leigh.

Some Wakey fans have joined L.I.S.A to help with the cause and our Owner Andrew Glover recently tweeted his support for Leigh.
There was also a thread last week offering support to the Leythers.
As you say RL needs clubs like Leigh. |
