Today's EVENING Courier that I've just collected at 6.05am confirms that Frank has signed up for 2011. It was mentioned in last weeks League Express but no big song and dance made.

Is this today's big news that the club are releasing ?

Let's hope that there is more news about the squad coming out soon to settle supporters hopes. Pre Season training began last night, let's hope there were more than half a dozen turned up.

The article comments on Frank and Jim Gannons experience offsetting the youth of Ostick, Fairbank and Sam Barlow, from this comment, is this confirmation that Sam is confirmed as a Fax player for 2011 as well ? Let's hope so.

Club website only mentions 4 props, the 2 above and Ostick and Cherryholme so we'll have to wait on the rest.

I am delighted big Frank is staying as he had a great season and he is a great ambassador for the club but this was expected so its a big anti climax after the build up of some news today.

I think I'm with you on this. Whilst this is great news its really not the exciting announcement built up yesterday.

That said, keep the good news coming, and the blog says that there is more exciting news on the way over the coming weeks and we'll all be very happy with the end result.

I like Frank and am delighted he signed on for another year.

i have to say i am a little shocked as well. he's 33 coming to the end of his career. i thought when we won the grand final last year that would signal his retirement on a high.

played well on the pitch last season but does wonders for the club off it. glad he is still with fax.

The way Frank knuckled down at the end of the year was excellent, if he had retired he would probably be looking for a proper job so im not surprised his form improved and he wants another year, overall hes done well for us and cares about the club.

Very happy Frank is staying. If he'd gone I'd have had to change the name of my car, a black Megane convertible.
