Hopefully part of the £100k will go towards starting our youth teams up again.

It wont. Most of it will have already been spent on paying players and the rest eaten up by debts. Hopefully though it will give the club room to manover though as it looked like we would do a Widnes without it.

It said in the paper that the playing budget for next season has been set and didn't factor in winning any prize money and that it won't be changed.

Well hopefully it will have a similar look to this year.

Shad - Utility back, not sure yet who'd be available to sign?

Larder? - Depending on what he decides/ New Signing.

We need to sign a Second Rower anyway to replace Gene, so we could either buy a Centre to push Nash into SR. But i'd rather we just buy a decent SR, because Nash has been brilliant fos us this season.

Am I reading too much in to this, or are phrases like [i"Players get used to earning a lot of money and they want to keep doing that"[/i and [i"We pay what we can and make sure we always pay our players"[/i insinuating something about us?

Theircwere a few clubs keen on him so would be no surprise if he was on big money like others, though with winning the league presume was worthwhile?

Replace old heads with young prospects save a bit of money and start investing in SL bid?

I take it from Tubbs's comments about maintaining ones earning capacity that he often considers taking a pay cut ?
He's probably just going through the bartering process to get his target a little cheaper, which I'd expect anyone to do TBH. Unusual him discussing his clubs' business via the press though.

Two things here from my point of view.
1. I don't want Branno to leave 'Fax.
2. I couldn't really give a monkey's what Tubbs says anymore, maybe if he got outside his Eagles bubble he would see things differently.

Thats what I'm hoping we do, resign the 5 players and replace the retiring players with young uns from SL. We'd have a decent mixture of "young an old" then to go forward with.

I was including some of them 5! Whose retiring Holyrood, Larder & Wrench? And guess you have Greenwood & Higham back from injury too.

Holroyd and Wrenchy are certainly retiring, Larder is considering his future apparently.

i spoke to a someone quiet close to branno a few days ago and he said branno wouldnt be leaving to join widnes or any other club.

Please no more over the hill ex super league retirees (Holly excepted) looking to top up their pensions (apparently what we paid a certain player last year would of gone a long way to paying for a youth team!) Bring in some quality young players and spend a year developing them and rebuilding the team.
