He is haveing talks with a S/L club he as been told by halifax if he can get a better deal esle were the club will let him go.

That's probably the case with any player that's got a shot at Super League. I would have said though for the past couple of seasons that Gleeson would have been picked up by a Super League club and he's stayed with us.

I'd rather have our recent crop of players playing at a club in another league than against us.

If he goes to SL club then good luck to him, and any others, if that SL club is Widnes

then that's a different matter but from the alledged signings they've made they'll be running 3 teams next year.
If it is SL then hopefully we can get something out of the deal or maybe he'll come back in a few years with added experience.

Ey? Are INS and outs match up ATM 4 in, 4 out! Hear we were linked with Patterson but then apparently denied from someone in the club. A few commenting didn't think he'd cut it in SL but I rate him as a player as well as kicker, not the fastest but seems a good finisher... Do you see his future as a centre?

Don't you already have a Lee Patterson or did he depart some time ago? Anyway, ours only has one 't' in his surname. Sorry to be pedantic but it'd annoy me if everyone kept spelling my name wrong

The big bald Patto left for Francs after last season, was back in Championship last few weeks of season though I think... Dewsbury rings a bell!

Patto is quicker than most in our league. Has good hands as well. Just as good in the centre is he is on the wing. Definitley good enough for SL if he would be given the chance. Rather he stayed with us though.

Chances of him reading all the drivel on these threads are slim i reckon !!

Need a few club anouncements to keep things ticking over on here. Like telling Aston where to shove it !!! ( cant resist really ). I'm sure they will be forthcoming from monday onwards though as there will be loads wanting to sign for a winning team !!.

I'm seriously considering boycotting the Sheffield away game next year and urging others to do the same. But it's catch 22, I don't want Sheffield to have my money to pay their legal fees but I don't want our boys playing infront of just Sheffield fans. Maybe we should donate our gate money to a 'Sam Barlow fighting fund' (presuming it gets that far)? After all, he did pay out of his own pocket to come a play for us.

He could easily fit into a Super League side. May not shine, but he'll get his head down and get on with the job.

He like Shad and like many others deserve a shot at Super League. Hopefully this whole things a load of .... as we still need him and his kicking skills.

am just gutted i missed the grand final.

I was against talking about al this aswell before the Grand Final, but it just drags you in, you can't stop it!!!

You only need to look at the Bulls wingers to realise that Patto could do a job in a SL team.. Although if am using the Bulls as a benchmark our front rowers could get a wing spot too!
