After being stuck in a really poor boozer prior to last years game can anybody point me in the right direction for a decent pint and some Fax fans before this years game.

yer anybody? The one we went in was also naff, got even worse when Mr Barrow (Des Johnson) himself walked in!

That pub was ok we were in there, I asked Des to lend me a tenner too and he said pee off.

We had a drink or too in the 3 pigeons near the ground, was a bit of a sh*thole though

The best one I went in was called The Railway (I think) You could stand outside in the beer garden so it was't too cramped. But to be honest none of them were great!

Are you sure he wasnt Chair Lifted in on the shoulder on the shoulders of the very very greatfull (well according to him) Barrow fans??

There's a couple of good pubs across the river in Stockton Heath (down past Wilderspool), but it's a bit of a trek back to the HJ. It's the same as any place really, regarding town centre pubs, more a case of quantity over quality. Top tip though. Fellas, if you're in the Bluebell Pub (out of Warrington Central station, turn left, walk straight up into town, it's on the right past the Hop Pole), and you have the urge to visit the 'little boys' room, the ceiling is quite low. Either stoop over or run the risk of banging your head

There are quite a few of us Leythers going, and we are going in a pub called the Albion, think its in the town centre.



It's a real ale pub by the way.
