With 41% of the vote, pacy Full-Back Daryl Cardiss won the first spot in Fax Fans Team of the Decade.

With 74 appearances for Fax in the 21st Century with 29 tries, he was best known for his length of the field special in front of the Sky cameras at home to Leeds Rhinos in 2000, Cardiss was a fans favourite ever since, gaining Origin honours in 2001 his late penalty drew the game for 12 man Fax against Bradford Bulls later that year and also an unforgettable last minute try to win the game against Warrington in 2002 after Lee Briers' record breaking 5 drop goal haul.

He was transferred mid-way through the 2003 season to Warrington, then onto Widnes, Oldham then Batley.

In a lower league remember. I remember "Cardiss for England" when he was here, if Shad was English I dont think itd be realistic that he would be in the England squad

Cardiss injured too much, Gibbo did it in super league and Shad and Miles have not had chance to. If they had and had proved themselves at that level would prob go for Shad. Gibbo is an icon

Yup, Harris got poked in the eye and they rushed him off the field as Cardiss was on his way. Rivett sprinted on but Cardiss right royally owned him. Awesome try.

I think this will be a theme of the team of the decade, super league players in a bad team against champs players in a good team will be interesting to see how many champs players make the final cut

Or how many 'crowd' favourites get in over those who have the talent.
