Me and my 8yr old son been every home game this year apart from cas but at halftime tonight he wanted to go home as he bored.

In the car on way home he told me it's boring watching saints and doesn't want to go anymore!

To be honest we have become so boring that I can't blame him.

Five of the fans around me tonight are giving Wigan and if we don't improve, they aren't bothering for the rest of the season, simply because they are bored by Saints at home.

They have become boring.

Stick withit pal. My 12 year old son has given me similar grief about attending Wigan games. Last weeks last minute winner against Les Cats gave him reason to believe again. That's all it takes.

Tell yer kid that you're top o' the league and that he best enjoy it because the Inland Revenue have closed that loophole, Wigan are on the way back and we are about to see the mythical level playing field become an actual level playing field.

Keep the faith guys, your top of the league!

Sorry mate i wasn't having a pop at your lad but more the 5 people stood near 'Saintsfan' who said they won't be going against Wigan.

I don't get it. That wasn't boring to watch tonight, maybe frustrating but not boring. The weather leveled the game up and Saints got made to pay for not having a goalkicker.

Kneejerk reaction for people to be saying they're packing it up.

if we not winning or beating teams by at least 30 it's boring.

Personally i've enjoyed every season i've ever watched rugby, at all levels.

Low scoring matches are great (tense and exciting)
High scoring matches are great too

different styles but always enjoyable

Spoilt! You can talk about boring all you want. Send your kids watching Warrington or Wigan, or Bradford, then they will know what boring is.

I believe Saints have scored more tries than anyone in the league.

They didn't look very boring at the halliwell Jones last week did they?

It was sort of my point. Just because they don;t win, their kids are whinging. Must come from their thousands who stand under the terrace under the cameras, whinging gits.

Saints have some of the worst fans in the league. They are the best team in the game yet average less than a rubbish team from over the hill. The moment they are in a final 30,000 turn up but when they lose they moan and say they won't turn up for the biggest game of the year.

Reminds me of a side in the early 90s...

Tell us something we don't know, you can come on here having a go at our attendances all you like but your on the whole preaching to the converted - most on here do go to every game they possibly can no matter what but like every other team we have fans who expect too much/ expect miracles/ never happy etc etc.

I have missed the last 2 games through illness and unless I win the lottery in the next week I won't be going to Quins but I can't wait to get to the Wigan game and get back into it - win lose or draw I would much rather be there to see it than be stuck home watching it on sky/listening on the radio and I am sure most on here (regardless of who they support) feel the same.

Nah, they said they would be going to watch Wigan but if we didn't perk up then they wouldn't be bothering again for the season. Sorry if it came out wrong.

I couldn't call it knee-jerk because I stand with those guys at every home game - I only see them at matches - and they started off as enthusiastic as everyone else. I've watched them slowly become a bit disillusioned with the way Saints are playing this season compared to previous years.

However, I don't reckon that's the reason for only 8,500 turning up tonight. More likely that it was raining and cold and on Sky.

Not seen Saints play much this year as I no longer have Sky Sports. When you say its boring, what has changed?

Not having a go at your attendances in the slightest. They've been pretty good this year and i'm a believer that if you move to your new stadium you won't be averaging far off what we get.

The bigger the crowds at all rugbyleague matches the better for everyone involved in the game.

I still can't believe some of the moans and groans on here at losing a game against Wakefield with a few players missing, on a horrible night with no goalkicker..........it's not the end of the world and has little bearing on what will happen in the big games at the end of the season.

Boring or not and as much as it pains me to say i'd put my last quid on you having a treble in the cabinet at the end of the year.

It was a shocking attendance for the top of the league no matter what excuse you mite come up with weather etc.. if people are bored with you winning i cant see your crowds growing cos your losing unlike at wigan. The number of WAFC shirts in your town is very alarming.

Less flair, more errors, a sense of malaise/apathy about the team (with exceptions: at Wire, at Leeds for the CC round, Leeds at KR, Wakey away).

Jesus, what is the world coming to when the most reasonable posts on a thread on the Saints board are from Wigan and Warrington fans...

I'm in St. Helens fairly often as I work there and have family there and I agree. St Heleners wouldn't go round with Wigan jerseys on so why the hell do they go around with latics jerseys on?

But we were averaging 15,000 attendances in the league in 1995.
