Last night Wakey were without Petersen,Blanch,Martin,Bibey,Rooney,Drew,Snitch,Sculthorpe,Pitts so thats 9 players of which 3 of them have been released yet they are still capable of producing performances and have finished in the top 6 which is a tremendous effort for a club of there resources, yet we have similar problems yet put the old injuries and not Agars team spin on it

just shows what you can achieve with a coach who gets the best out of the team

It is arguable that Wakefield have a weaker squad than yours.

It does make you wonder doesn't it, if JK was given time with the club how we could have improved. It seemed he lost the dressing room, certain players let it be known they wanted him out and they stopped performing for him..............sound familiar. If the board had the faith back then to back the coach and not to let the players rule the roost we might not have had 2 years of utter sheete we've had to put up with.

John Kear is no world class coach but he gets the best out of his teams given time.

but can he get the best out of top players who you need to go to the next level?

We'd all take our position in 2005 compared to where we are now. There's only two pieces of silverware to play for and he brought us one of them, beating both Leeds & Saints along the way.

The next step for us was to win a grand final, but that wasn't going to happen overnight even when we won the challenge cup we overachieved with the squad we had. But that's the point I'd rather have a team performing above itself then the shower we've been served up for the past two years.

Kear wasn't good enough, it was Swain and Kearney that won the silverware, not him.

Any coach prepared to give players a lift to training because they'd had "a bit of a heavy night" has no place at my club.

He's so much better than Agar it's just not funny.

That is what is depressing, Kear is crap, and still 10 times the coach Agar is!

Actually, the general standard of coaching in this country is poor
