If we beat Halifax they can only match our point tally but they have a slightly better point difference still have to play Bradford
If we beat Fev they can only get 32 points however with away games to Bradford and Leigh highly unlikely
If we beat London they can not finish higher than us in the league

Final Table prediction based on if all matches are won by the favourites if a game is close to call i will give the win to the home team

Unfortunately I think you will win, I am a stats man and looking at your recent record winning 5 in a row and beating London Dewsbury Fev by 20+ margins and scoring 40 points or more is impressive and factor in our poor record at the shay suggests a Halifax win

however we are an optmistic bunch on this forum and i am sure there will be lots of posts saying Sheffield will win because either we thrashed you at the keepmoat or because we were excellent in the second half of our last game or because we are due an excellent 80 min performance however being the realist and hoping to be proven wrong but i will go for fax by 6 30-24

That way of thought is the reason you won't be attending the middle 8's.

I think we needed to give it a try, if only to stop folk saying "we ought to do that twelves and eights idea - it'll be great".

There was a pathway - somebody from our division could have been playing in $uperleague in 2015 under franchising. Maybe Leigh.

But we rejected that for a system where we could have none up, none down every year. Sure, Leigh beat Wakefield earlier this season but not convincingly. Things wouldn't have to change much to see that reversed.

And the funding's an issue for me. Are we going to see the top six - or less - of the Championship break away from the rest because they receive more funding ? Are we just moving the top fourteen closed shop to a new top sixteen closed shop ?

Then there's the issue of whether it'll just encourage "boom and bust" boardroom tactics. Who knows ?

How will the "marquee player" rule affect things ? $uperleague clubs can have one, Championship clubs can't.

Lots of questions to be answered. And it'll take a few years for us to find out.

Halifax I think they are in, I expect to will win 2 games and will probably beat Bradford if they are out of the title race

Fev If only they had lost at Bradford !! but many thanks dewsbury, cant see them winning at Leigh (but i said that against Bradford) so if we beat them at home it is unlikely that they will finish higher than us and 30 Points could be good enough for a place in the middle 8's

London need to win all 3 remaining games including against us at the hive on the final day of the season to stand any chance of finishing higher than us A Dewsbury not easy A Workington is a long trip against a team who need the points to avoid relegation then us we currently have a better point difference of 56 which could also become important

For me it's a structure.that shows who belongs in SL and who doesn't, with all the talking done on the field. I agree the gateway is only slightly ajar, but nevertheless open with financial rewards.

As with the marquee player,I see most SL clubs using it to finance their own existing highest paid player and not stepping into the market to specifically buy one, barring probably the top 4 teams of SL.
