We are now safe and finally putting a decent run of form together in time for the playoffs we could even catch doncaster thanks to their points deduction however i some ways i hope we dont because away to leigh in the first round of the playoffs is not great !!! as it stands at the moment we will probably have a home game against keighley or workington (hopefully at bawtry road !!) then it will be away to Fev Halifax or Doncaster and then away again possibly away to leigh and then the final at Headingley easy Not !!!!

I know that Leigh have not won for some ridiculous high number of Playoff Games (around 20 if i remember correctly) However Leigh have shown that this season that they could be good enough for the Super league their record of losing 1 game and a winning points average of 25 points has never been seen before in the Championship and although i wont be a backer at odds on I fully expect Leigh to be Champions this season

On the other hand, we were unlucky to lose at Leigh in t'league.

We (Leigh) haven't won a play-off game since the 2004 GF! I think 10 years is a long enough wait for another win

Duggs - can you expand on why you reckon finishing 5th is preferable to finishing 4th ?

5th 1st Week H Keighley/Workington/Whitehaven
2nd Week A Doncaster (or Fev/Halifax)

4th 1st Week A Leigh

At Least 4th gives us two chances to beat Leigh and a bye if we win the first game so from the view of progressing obviously this is the best option however from a personal point of view I dont fancy going to Leigh twice its not the easiest place to get to by public transport.

Teams with a bye dont have a great record since 2010 Fev in 2011 are the only team not to play in every week of the playoffs so if we have to play every week i think i prefer the 5th place route a winnable home game a potential big local derby away to Doncaster then a trip to Leigh

Week 2 - Much needed week off
Week 3 - Home to whoever beats Leigh in Week 2

In the unlikely event of Leigh actually winning in Week 1,

we're certainly no worse off from a playing point of view than we would've been in fifth place. We'll be at home (which is a debatable advantage - but we have to play a home game somewhere in the mix) and we'll have an opponent from places 5-8, instead of 1-4.

We didn't have a huge crowd at Doncaster a few weeks ago.

I know we might have gone above them if they hadn't but - great stuff Donny beating Fax today we can still get to the final!
