I liked it but there's just too many league games to fit it in.

Yep it's a shame I thought this years format worked well enough
I did think they would keep it for 2014 though

To be honest I am not sad that it wont be taking place next season we played 38 games last year which is too many and it wont fit in the new schedule next season if and when it is passed.

We were due to play Featherstone on the day of the Northern Rail Final if we did not play leigh in the final and played Featherstone instead we may have loss but the bonus point would not be as important as it was at the rescheduled game who knows we could well have won the league leaders shield

Will the bonus point be going too. It wont fit in the new schedule if we get one?

Hallelujah! I genuinely thank god that I never have to attend one of these matches ever again. Can't believe it lasted this long.

So who's fault was it that you played so many games?,

If your coach didnt want to win the NRC, it was his perogative to not put out a team capable of winning

The biggest losers will be the Championship 1 clubs , this competition was a large part of their season and realistically the easiest way to supply their fans ( including potential new ones ) with a day out, and a day in the spotlight

I'd rather have had a crack at winning the NRC than the shield. We bottled it on the day and now it looks like it's a trophy that will never don our cabinet (do we have a cabinet?)

That's a poor excuse for losing at Fev, really. Fev had a day off 5½ weeks earlier, so we were more tired ?

More to do with Patch Walker getting injured ten minutes into the game, I think.

Exactly, your squad was capable of playing those 38 games including winning the last and most important one, last season was arguably the 2 nd most successful in your history

It seems to me that too much focus has been put on this new structure rubbish, I personally think it could prove to be more damaging as once again it makes clubs forget what they should be doing to secure their future, my club possibly more so than others

In what way ?

The RFL s ' Carrot ' of what was it? , 300/400 K for making next years GF, I'd rather them spend that money on marketing the competitions to improve all our long term income streams

Eithr way, P+R won't work unless there's something approaching parity of finances.

At the moment, I can only see clubs with deep-pocketed directors being able to challenge for promotion.

Right - so the RFL are thinking of bringing the Rail Cup back for 2015, by which time we'll be playing a 30 game league season - compared with 18 + 4 Rail group games in 2012.

Where are we shoe-horning all these games in ?

At least it's been well thought out

I like the Rail Cup but there's no room for it in the calendar.

There won't be enough room for the league season in 2015, let alone any cups.

In 2015 there won't be enough room for it but i'd happily keep it for 2014
so iv'e signed, we played alot of games last year but with success comes extra games I'd be happy to see 2014 turn out the same as this year
