A chance to break the club record for consecutive LEAGUE victories, in hopefully sunny weather in York.

One of my favourite away days, nice city, decent little ground and usually take a half decent following and create a good atmosphere. And win. Hopefully the case again on Sunday!

Huntington Stadium - just in case anyone was minded to set off down the A1.

Bit like those relatives of t'late Princess of Wales - set off from Northamptonshire, heading for some soccer match at Stamford Bridge, using their satnav.

Ended up in Yorkshire.

Will either be there or on holiday (depends on whether my daughter comes up with a holiday deal or not). Regardless of that, and taking into account that York beat Featherstone back in March. I think this should be an easy win for the Eagles, although my Yorkie bar wife doesn't agree lol.

I cant see much other than an eagles win.... but you never know!

Hopefully we will win on Sunday however during the last couple of weeks the relegation threatened teams have started to play better, for instance last Sunday Swinton beat Featherstone and York lost narrowly at Halifax apparently they had a kickable penalty in the dying moments to draw the match which only just went wide.

However we have been pretty ruthless against the bottom 7 teams with an record in all competitions of 13-0 with an average winning margin of 22. The bookies have us as 12 point favourites which is just about right my prediction is

York 16 Sheffield 26

According to the BBC Web site the game is being broadcast on BBC York which should be available to stream via the internet

it sounds like York are playing well and Eagles have not played at their best hopefully we can dominate in the 2nd half

Sheffield Eagles have played a lot lot better this second half currently leading 30-16 with about ten mins to go so it looks like our winning run is to continue.Featherstone and Leigh will probably also win but it is close at Barrow who have a narrow 2pt lead over halifax

Great win in the end sounded a poor first half sounds like york ran out of steam in the second half

Fax lost we won, Leigh now in 3rd.

Thought we were superb second half, some great rugby and proper ruthless. 3 games in 9 days and we've come out with 9 points without even giving away a bonus point. Can't say fairer than that.

Much better 2nd half - kind of Eagles trademark, even if on of Eagles tries (can't remember which) was from a forward pass but heigh ho play to the ref's whistle. Missed the dandelions though.
