It's been too long since we won a game now and it's really important we bounce back on Thursday. I'd be amazed if we didn't win, I've seen York three times already this season and they really are a poor side.

Attendance 804 - only if 700 are from Sheffield. The good citizens of York (of whom my sister is one) will be spending their money on a trip to Wembley for the FA Trophy and I wish the team well.

From the 2 matches I have seen them play, York City Knights are not very good and if there were relegation this season I would be tipping them to go down so I expect an easy win for the Eagles.

Could well be a small crowd and a crappy atmosphere then, we won't take many with it being on a Thursday night and on telly.

Think we showed a different side to our game tonight, really needed to dig in and grind out a result in awful conditions, particularly in the middle part of the second half when York built up a head of steam and were on top. If the truth be told though it wasn't a very accomplished performance; we know we can play much better than that. But, a win's a win. Two more tries for Q, I don't know what the record for tries in a season is for the Eagles but I think he'll be there or there abouts come the end of the season. Match report: t.co/ZPXdflqw

462 must be very worrying for York,Got to credit the Eagles marketing team for at least trying to get more fans,That is a dismal effort and pretty embaresing,Iva ropati scored most tries for Eagles in a season,can't remember how many,Think it was in the 30's,got some winnable home games coming up and the fixture list is looking good til end of the season with a couple of toughies Fax,Leigh away,I think we should finish in the top 3,Somtimes you just have to grind out results and get the 3 points.

Iva Ropati's record was 30 tries in the 91/92 season I believe.

After saying on here that we are a very poor team, it would be nice if you gave us just a little bit of credit for that performance last night, you were lucky to get away with 3 points.

Well done for running us close, Fordy gave us a scare midway through the second half, had he held on to that ball after you'd scored those two tries it may well have been a different outcome.

But the facts are, if that's the best you've played all season, you've got problems. We were absolutely nowhere near our best and still managed to grind out the win, if we had played like we did in the cup, or on a dry pitch, the margin of victory would have been similar.

Tansey was a bit better last night, but that's the fourth time I've seen you this season and whatever you're paying him, it's too much. Thought your number 11 had a good game and Paul King stepped up to the plate too. Hope it gives you something to build on and you can continue to improve and win a couple of games. Can't be much fun being a York fan right now.

Got to say have had more fun, but with no relegation, just hope we continue to improve & get a couple of wins, done every game home & away this season and will continue to do so, if we don't stick with it, the alternative doesn't bare thinking about.
