As many of you know we at Leigh Centurions are in serious financial difficulties with a current shortfall of £144k. Players and staff wages have not been paid, The Inland Revenue are at the door and we are in danger of vanishing. Proposals have been put in motion to make the club a community club and to come out of this stronger but in the meantime we need to raise cash.

Every club has financial problems Griff but not to the extent Leigh have. It would be an absolute travesty to see them go.

I think you have just let your club down.
You see, at this moment, Championship Rugby is in a dire straight.
No sky money, dwindling attendances, In fact your home gates aren't that good.
A lot of clubs depend on travelling supporters, Leigh I should think bring quite a lot.
As you say, no offence, but, I think if it went to a vote most other clubs would rather see Leigh survive than Sheffield.
AND I also think that right minded supporters would like to see ALL clubs survive.

Who actually cares who other teams would vote for between us and Leigh,What has that point got to do with anything,I hope they survive,When did Griff say he didnt want Leigh to survive?He just said hed rather give his money to his club,As you say our attendances arnt great so they need every penny from our own supporters or we could end up like Leigh,We all dont have endless money,Look after yer own and if you have spare help others,We don't so cest la vie.

I agree with you Griff. Please support you club in every way you can. We are not asking for you to give anything you don't want to or to take 1p from the money you give your club. What we are asking is that you have a look at our listings on eBay and consider buying anything you like. And yes, we did give our Paypal address for those who would consider donating. Do we want to have to ask? Of course not, Leigh is a proud club and it hurts. We do, however, want to pay the people we owe
