Just being thinking instead of rewarding failure which it currently does,Ditch the 12 point margin point,and for next season if you win by a certain amount of points,a figure between 20-30 you should get a bonus point for attacking/positive play and would reward sucess rather than failure,Just an idea.

Or just have 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a defeat. If it's not broke, don't fix it, change is not good!!

2 points for a draw is rather bizarre,both teams benefit really,You wouldnt be far off the top of the league if you drew everygame.As you say 2 for win and 1 for draw,the bonus is at the end of the season by having tighter games,you have a better goal difference and finish above someone on the same points,You could lose a game by 50 and then by ten and get a point and another team loses both by 14 but would get nothing.

If every game was drawn or won by 12 or less points, the league positions would be exactly the same. Every team would have 20 more points than under the 2-1-0 system. It's teams who lose by more than 12 who lose out. What exactly is your objection to that ?

My objection is that a defeat is a defeat. I'm a sore loser, always have been always will be, I HATE losing, and getting a poxy failure point because we didn't get hammered, just beaten, doesn't make me feel any better. A loss is a loss and it should stay that way. And yes, I realise supporting Wednesday isn't the wisest way to spend my Saturday afternoons with this kind of attitude!
