Always a tough game at Widnes and I think I'm right in saying we've not won there since we re-formed. Now would be a perfect time to change that record. Who's going? Kudos to Dr Badvibes for letting me travel in his motor



Widnes 30-32 Eagles. (Incidentally, this was the score on the day I was born, albeit the game was at home).

No probs boss.

From my memory (which is very good) weve never beaten Widnes since the re-formation, home or away. Closest we got was away in 2009 when we lost by 10 and probably would have won if James Child knew the rules of the game.

Also i think Widnes are the only NL side we havent yet beaten since 2000 and this is the last chance we will get (unless we get them in the play offs). Then we will never have to go there again, thank the good lord.

We haven't beaten South Wales either.

Aston has given the lads last week off so hopefully some re-charged batteries and a few dual regs players, we could do em'.

Shouldn't be a problem but my phone is sometimes a bit temperamental when I'm not in a wi-fi zone! Should be ok though, failing that if you follow my Dad he always updates Twitter after every try at Eagles games.

Massive game this one for a few different reasons,Win this and i'd be very confident for the rest of the season and a top four finish as it would put down a big marker and a super league scalp and to reverse the previous mauling,Not many teams win at Widnes and would send a message out to the rest of the teams around us,Lose and i think we'll lose a bit of mementum and the tough games ahead will look even harder,A win will bring us momentum and confidence and i think we will win,20-32 Eagles win.

No complaints whatsoever about the result, we were well outplayed by a better team. We didnt play as well as we can and the boys will know that. The score doesnt for me tell the story of how far away we were. In the first 20 minutes we knocked-on twice in our own half and missed one major tackle, and we were 16-0 down, from then we fought bravely but their defence was excellent. We gave away some very silly field position far too often with penalties and errors, we were our own worst enemies.



Try of the day was deffinately our score straight from the restart, straight out of the coaching manual.



Credit also to the Widnes fan who shook our hands and spoke to us after the game in the bar. Widnes fans have a (deserved) reputation for arrogance, they consider us beneath them but this guy was smashing, really friendly.

No complaints about the result, the margin could and should have been wider. Too many knock ons, missed tackles, stupid penalties. Put it behind us and get ready for Barrow on Thursday, massive game.

I'm curious as to why you consider Widnes a Super League Scalp ?

We currently play in the same League as Sheffield, The Championship.

We have the same Salary Cap as the rest of the League, £300,000.

We only have one Player tied to a Super League Contract for next year.

They're not that good. Very beatable. We just didn't play well enough to do it on Sunday.
