| Friday 3rd June at Mount St Mary's in Spinkhill.
A repeat of Sunday, particularly the second half, and we should win. We shouldn't underestimate Dewsbury though, they had a brilliant second half themselves against Featherstone on Sunday.
Eagles 32-12 Dewsbury.
Attendance 222.

| Hopefully carry on the 2nd half display from yesterday.
Can see it being a bit of a farce but is happening so just got to deal with it sadly..
Eagles 42 - 18 Dewsbury
M.O.M - Alex Rowe
Attendance: 432

| Says in the Star that Warren Jowitt may turn up in his school blazer but I am not going for a tie in this game.
Hopefully a caning for Dews but no telling tales when that big school bully Menzie shows who's boss
Eagles to win and no bonus point for the 3rd formers.

| All things considered i thought it was a thorough performance and a deserved win. Bit of a slow start just like last week but once we hit our straps we were well away.
I think Mount St Marys was ok for a one-off, it not suitable as a regular venue but credit to the eagles staff for organising the game despite adversity. Well done all.
Man of the match for me was the elderly Dewsbury fan who decided to heckle us at the end. Given the Rams lack of co-operation on this fixture and the fact we managed to find a venue after all this fuss a bit of banter was expected. We provided a pitch, you played on it, and lost. Deal with it.
Three points in Toulouse and i think were safe!

| Best comment I heard was from a Dewsbury supporter who wondered what Warren Jowitt was moaning about as this pitch was better than their own!
Well done everyone concerned with getting the match played and another solid all round performance.

| Agree with DrB as a one off. It was about how the game was played not where, we. played better as a unit. Dom Brambani had a good game but not many others would break into our squad based on last night.
School report by Mr Aston may say could do better, while Mr Jowitt's would be must do better.
As for Laughton, stand in the corner boy, such behaviour will not be tolerated.

| Airborne can you PM me your mobile number so I can text about Friday please. I asked HL for it last night but I suspect he has a headache today.

| After all the whinging about the venue, I really enjoyed it. Granted, if it had been ing down with rain I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it half as much but the sun shone, the burgers cooked and the beer flowed so everyone was a winner. Good performance after a sluggish start, the last couple of tries in particular were great moves. Onwards and upwards, three points in the South of France next weekend and we're looking set.

| Yes - what a great "good weather" venue. Congratulations to everyone who made the event a success.

| I liked the comment on the Dewsbury forum about the field next door from where you could watch the game for free.
Yes, if you bring a big stepladder and binoculars.

| Good game, the "ground" was miles better than I thought it would be and well done to the club for sorting everything out, good BBQ & if them benches were turned into an actually covered seating stands it would be better than some grounds i've been too!
The signs on the road up to the game were quite funny!
Anyway the game, again excellent game from Rowe & for me our best forward & contender for player of the season, his running game & how he breaks the line so often, especially near the try line is a outstanding.
Thought Hanson had another good game, wish him & Battye were in the 17 every week, would really help improve their game and having 2 lads born in Sheffield & brought through the ranks would be a great thing for the club!
The game was never in doubt last night, good win & lets get another 3 points in France next week and if we carry on I think we could get a top four finish but two games against Barrow & Fev and another game against Leigh & Widnes it will be tough...

| We can beat anyone on our day, fact. Leigh are quite obviously on a downer at the moment with things off the field, and if the Halifax game is anything to go by, it could affect them on the field. Barrow home and away will be tough but I'd back us to pick up at least one win. We'll lose at Widnes (as always) and will find it tough going against Fev, I'd take two points from the Fev games if offered now, but think we are capable of sneaking a win, we were the only team to beat them in the league last year and generally do pretty well at Post Office Road. I keep saying it and they keep proving me wrong but I still don't think Batley will last the pace. I think top 4 is definitely a realistic aim.

| I think top 6 is reachable but we still have Barrow and Fev to play twice as well as Widnes and Leigh away (still tough despite publicised problems). Call me defeatist but if we win in France next week then that's 25 points, which should be enough to avoid the drop. That's always the first target. So let's hope we can bring the points home from our European tour.
All that said I genuinely hope we win every game and the Grand Final!
