Eagles signed two players on dual contracts with Bradford Bulls - Vinny Finigan & Jason Crookes

According to ths Star James Cording been recalled for weekend and doesnt look like Wood will be playing,Its a bit of a joke,Wood would be the key player for us we cant afford to be ing about like this,In one week gone for 3 week,Its not so bad in certain positions but in key positions it just cant happen.

Dual registration should be stopped. Loan deals are acceptabvle but they should be for a minimum period (although this leads to problems like Leeds have at the moment where they need a player they loaned to Wakefield but can't get him back)

We really have a paper thin squad outside of the forwards which is not good news for the coming season.

According to the bulls board,Tom Burgess is on his way to the eagles as well.

I'm not a fan of dual reg either especially in key positions but if we have got two players who can play centre and wing then fine bring them in! Vinny Finnigan sounds like he is a good prospect & with Yere out we need one this weekend + the lack of 6's and 7's I think we should put QLT at stand off and keep cottle at FB.

Hope we sign Tom Burgess if his brothers are anything to go by. Even if he is on dual reg would be a good impact player!

Well it's unlikely that we'll be calling either back unless there's an injury crisis with our back line, which is currently

In reserve to that we've got Sykes who can play across the back, Briggs to come back in at 6 which then means we can have either Kearney or Royston and fullback, we've also got Halley to come back from injury shortly.

Personally, I'm glad that both Crookes and Finnigan will get some game time with you guys. Both have a lot of potential and could really do some damage in the championship

The deal with Bradford seems fine,Bradford dont need them so unlikly to call them back and have other players infront of them,That is where the old loan system would have worked fine,The deals for cording and Wood are different as Wood really is 3rd choice halfback and is likly to be bouncing back and forth all season which is no good for us,Need a settled half back combination,I for one would not bother with the deal as i think it could cause unrest,If i was halfback and kept getting dropped everytime Wood was available then put back in and then out again i wouldnt be very happy,More trouble than what its worth,Wood is a good player and say a 3 month loan in the old system it would be great but its not,Should be looking at a permanent half back signing and canceling the wood deal IMO.

One player who has rarely featured for the shudders is andy raleigh,Dual reg anyone?

Can he play stand off?

I think we should have QLT and Brown at 6 & 7. They are stable and won't be running off anywhere! Keep cottle at FB until misi returns and then have him as a backup and if mills doesn't up his game get him out on the wing! From what i've seen his been one of our better performers over the past few weeks.

If Dane Mcdonald can then im sure andy Raleigh could

Just remembered who Vinny Finnigan is. Watched him play against HKR on Sky last season.
A bit lightweight in defence but lightening quick! I think he's on the same course as my niece is at
Leeds Met. We need a bit of pace in the backs.

Since we have 4 players on dual contract who (i think) will all be training full time with their respective clubs in the week, will they be training with our players too or just showing up on match day!? Think we need them to come down and be part of the squad.
