I know what you mean - for me John Street is much better for several reasons
Cherry Street always seems dark and gloomy as it doesn't get sun. For those who say that the sun gets in your eyes in the John Street stand than buy a new Macron baseball cap!
The after match experience seems better too in the John Street suites.
Down sides - well for away fans and season ticket holders it's a walk from the otherside of the ground. Also the big screen isn't as visible.
It would be nice to have access to the tunnel bar and perhaps a venue for pre match supporters club meetings etc.
