As Sheffield United chairmam, what effect will thst have on us playing at the lane next year?
It was in the star a couple of weeks ago that the move was iminent, could this be the stumbling block?
I heard on the radio that a deal to play most of the games at Bramall Lane has been done.
My only fears about this are that depending on the winter we have no-one can predict the state of the pitch come the end of February. If United are in a relegation battle then they may not want the pitch damaging. By this I mean that I don't think RL damages the pitch in itself but it is all extra games to be played on the same patch of grass. But United have spent money on the surface during last summer so maybe all will be OK.
There is still the carrot of a major RL game being played at Bramall Lane at some point - CC Semi maybe?
