| The Crusaders have gone into administration - according to the Sun - so it must be TRUE - what a waste of space that club is !

| What they need to do is get their begging bowl out, go round other clubs asking their supporters to help out and when they get back on their feet and start winning things, go round bragging about how great they are.
If Crusaders go under, which isn't certain (Wakefield didn't, and neither did Sheffield Wednesday) then I hope the Scorpions can keep the flag flying.
It's a shame that all those new supporters in Wrexham, who took to the team and the sport in a big way, will not be lost to the game.

| I dont think he was referring to you personally Faxhali
Its always a shame for the fans if a team goes under, looks like it would be tough to give them another franchise if they do survive administration, Im sure the RFL will find a way though.

I Bloody hope not, But if they go down then it will be Nailed on for Toulouse to get in which is what the RFL might be after now after pumping money into CC hand over fist.
11 Heartland and 3 expansion clubs. QUINS, CATALANS AND ..........................
Unless they change it to 2 Expansion and 12 heartland.
Who knows where the Yellow brick road will lead, Certainly not back to Kansas thats for sure .

Me neither, My season ticket went up so thats that. Sorry but i dont care for welsh rugby anyway. I'm a heartlands club and thats where i want it to stay, especially when traditional clubs who established the game in the first place get shat on from a great height.

No, you're less than a hour away from my ground, The M62 Corridor teams, Yorkshire and Lancashire, and if i must Cheshire is what its all about, Sorry Cumbrians but thats the way i see it. Thats what will keep the crowds up, Not long Journey time, Not much expense paid out to get there, Thursday night games are achievable for most who work till 5 due to only hours travel.
Maybe i'm a 30 year old living in the dark ages but there you have it. One dream One Vision !

| And so we shrink ever smaller, even more ignored by the media and getting no money from Sport England to fund the grass roots until we disappear altogether.
On the day when there are non-heartland players (including one from my club) pulling on an England jersey at U18 level I find this all too depressing. I understand the frustration but the game is under massive threat from rugby union, football and other sports and things that want our leisure time. Times are changing and much though people would like to see a return to some golden age (the date of which depends on how good your club were at the time) it ain't going to happen.

| As someone from a non-heartland area I agree with tim2's comments. I think expansion is a good thing but it has to be properly run, yet there seems to be an obsession amongst supporters of heartland clubs with regard to attendances, overlooking some pretty poor figures for clubs in Yorkshire and Lancashire. Given all the work done on development in London, it would be a crying shame if Harlequins were to lose their Super League place. For what its worth, Id like to see a Super League and Super League 2nd division, both with 10 teams, with promotion from the 2nd division to Super League.
Super League
Wigan
Leeds
Huddersfield
Hull
Hull KR
Catalans
Bradford
Saints
Castleford
Warrington
Super League 2
Salford
Wakefield
Harlequins
Crusaders
Featherstone
Widnes
Sheffield
Toulouse
Leigh
Halifax

| I am all for a club in Wales, and hopefully eventually Scotland and Ireland too.
The trouble with the Welsh attempt is too much too young.
They should have built more carefully on what they have at junior level and aimed for a Welsh SL side underpinned by two championship clubs. Evolution not revolution.

There's been no club in Cheshire since Runcorn Highfield moved over the river in 1987.

| Warrington and Widnes are Unitary Authorities originally in Cheshire. I still think of them as being Cheshire, but they don't seem to like it!

How old are you, Tim2 - about ten ?
Both in Lancashire, though bits of Warrington do stray over the border.

| I kind of predicted this but I thought that they would be Wrexham Crusaders and I wondered if they would change their strip to red as the ground is mainly red and also the Welsh national team colours.

Should have said, originally the unitary authorities were in Cheshire when created in 1974. I believe originally there was a Stone Age settlement in Widnes and a Roman one in Warrington.
I don't think they are officially in the current county of Lancashire - Lancashire really has been butchered, hasn't it?
As for Crusaders, I don't really care if they get special treatment. I've got better things to get wound up about.
