Carcassonne have now completed the league and cup double, so it turns out we are playing the best team in the French league after all.

As much as I like Toulouse I'm really looking forward to this one and think that we've got the best draw at Carcassonne looks a much nicer place - they even do boat trips!!

2 kids were messing by the canal and one pushed the other and he nearly fell in so he pushed the other one back and there was lots of handbag stuff. ESO stood up on the board and should "Gooo on smack 'im" which they probably didn't understand but then they probably realised that the whole boat were laughing at them.

But the trip was poor, the Sheffield canal where they filmed the Full Monty is probably better.

Again though using every bit in ingenuity to make the trip.

Hats off to HL and mates who are setting off from Sheffield on the megabus to London sometime just after midnight Friday then onwards by train to Bournemouth and flying in to Carcassonne.

ESO and ESO senior are going via Bournemouth too.

Me and Mrs Airborne are going via East Midlands as I believe Martin and Neil are.

I think HL and co are setting off at midnight tonight to get there just before the kickoff.

What's the weather like down there sanjunien? Will be there this time next week, but it's 25c here, wall to wall sunshine and absolutely red hot, will take some beating!

well, we are about five hours north in Limoges and it's about 31°C today so it should be sizzling at Carcassonne today !



the temperatures will drop a bit next wek so we should be looking at about mid 20s next weekend

not on the telly as far as i'm aware but probably worked out so that the game doesn't clash with the Stade Toulouse v Castres or Montpellier Semi Final in RU (which is on telly) which is scheduled for the same evening

some fans of both codes will go to both games
