a must visit and the nearest bar to the ground about 100M away - great bunch behind the bar and the locals are great



in the town centre - go behind the Castillet (the old castle) and head for the Café de la Poste + loads of good bars nearby

One flight from Manchester to Gerona on saturday and it's 6:00am,Which muppett thought of that one (someone who doesn't want to sleep his full quota of hours in a day),The flights coming back are fine,wouldnt it be nice if you could just fly into the airport of venue then fly back,Everything is so diifcult these days,trains,trams,aeroplanes,buses,coaches,metro's and that's just to get from A to B.

I'm guessing it's a budget airline that has that flight? Usually early morning/late night flights are available for cheaper as the flag carriers don't want them.

At a last resort National Express coaches run through the night.

martyb - I don't know how much disposable income you have but Air France fly from London City to Perpignan via Paris Orly.

London City is quite easy to get to via rail and Docklands Light Railway

Still got flights available from Stanstead yet Andrew. It's not so much getting there, it's the fact I'll be on my own which is worrying me. I don't mind the travelling, but being on my own in a foreign country. Funny thing is I've been to Perpignan before but I was on the Wigan organised tour for the first ever match there and being among others gave me extra confidence. After all, it's not like just going to Leeds....... or even Wrexham.

Go via Girona and arrange with Catalan Tours to collect you, that way you will have assistance from the airport to Perpignan and then to the ground as well, hope everything works out mate!

Just been on to Catalan Tours and the chap said I'd be better just catching the shuttle service in to town. It wouldn't be viable for them to just pick me up, which is understansable. Sod it. Think I'll just book and take my chances. The Stanstead to Perpignan flight would be the most direct. It'll be like the first time I went. Travelling all night to get an early flight. See you all over there.
