Should have said, originally the unitary authorities were in Cheshire when created in 1974. I believe originally there was a Stone Age settlement in Widnes and a Roman one in Warrington.
I don't think they are officially in the current county of Lancashire - Lancashire really has been butchered, hasn't it?
As for Crusaders, I don't really care if they get special treatment. I've got better things to get wound up about. |
