Bookies have Halifax favourites by 4 points which is just about right. As Westridingeagle has said it is going to rain all day but should be dry for the match hopefully i wont be too muddy and wet as this will probably favour Halifax. It should be a good competitive game with the Eagles finally finding their form again but a fresher Halifax side with the backing of the majority of the crowd should just prevail but i will be happy to proven wrong.

Another great performance especially in the second half our blip at the end of the season is now firmly behind us. To reach the grand final 3 seasons in a row is a superb achievement well done Mark Aston and the squad my tipping has been totally off the mark in the last few weeks so my next tip is Featherstone or Batley to win the Grand Final !!!

I was having a few palpitations when it was 10-16, but our strike players proved they can do the job on a fast track & decent size pitch.

Commiserations to Fax though, it was close up until 70 mins.

Well done lads, was covering the game for the trades, your fans were the better fans and didn't rise to the "no ground" bait chants, was annoying to hear Fax fans cheering/jeering Liam when he was down and out as well.

'Where you going to play next week?' was probably the highlight of the evening. Shame about the jeering of Higgins but its always the moronic lads at the back of the South Stand, not a reflection on their fans as a whole, they went quiet quickly however!

What a performance. Best of the season IMO. Nervous first quarter but we defended staunchly and once we got in front we never looked back really. Thought we may run out of steam at the end having played just four days previous but we finished the stronger which is testament to the players' conditioning after a very long season!

Special mention for Pat Walker who comfortably had his best game for the club. How much he has improved over the course of the season is unbelievable.

Those chants when Liam Higgins was on the deck wasn't just an idiotic 'few' either. Disappointing when he's clearly seriously injured. Oh well, they'll be able to do it from in front of their television sets next Sunday!

The chants when Higgins was down were wrong, but I did notice that a lot of fax fans clapped him off.

Thought we defended excellently yesterday, reminded me of the Leigh SF 2 years ago. Halifax threw absolutely everything at us early on and you could see after 65 minutes they were absolutely cream crackered. I never knew Menzie was so good at football either!

Absolute ironman. Just doesn't seem to get tired.

Still prefers traditional black boots, too. Though he doesn't mind if they have a bit of white on them.
