If Baitieri is not fit I would go Gigot,Broughton Inu Wiliame Yaha Walsh Myler Moa Aiton Bousquet Anderson Horo Bird. Interchange Da Costa or Bosc, Casty Garcia Simon or Burgess. If Baitieri is fit I would Play him at 13 and move Bird to the middle line and Anderson To the Interchange at the expense of Simon-Burgess. I am going to the match at the usual great expense and start with more hope than faith.

I'm not wildly impressed with Wire's recruitment. I don't think they'll be as strong this year as last, although in the context of a general watering down of quality across the league that might be a moot point.

Warrington are missing some key players,may be distracted by next week,and have had a pre season as bad as ours. It is our ability to throw away games that most concerns me.

By my reckoning there were 11 very tight games last year-including all 3 against Warrington ,of which we won 2. However ,I accept the point made, and think that G.Bird will be a crucial asset in the prevention of last minute panic-such as when Garcia dropped the kick off towards the end of the third Warrington match.

My first visit to perpi last Saturday, travelled over from West Yorks, to be honest I wasn't fully expecting a win but was made up with the result, imo bird, Myler, Walsh, busquets, casty ( as usual ) and Moa all had a great game, not sure what we will do in the backs now with yaha and gigot out, surely a call up from the reservs is our only option , Mathias Pala seems like the best option with most SL experience. Can't wait for my next trip over to perpi, next time I'm hoping will be abit warmer.
While I'm at it does anyone know what happend to jordan sigismeau? He's not on the transfer list or with the reserves.

Agree re who played well. They were all great especially myler who looks very fit and sharp.

I reckon they might try Albert at full back. Thornley will get a call up before Pala tho.

IIRC Sigismeau was last seen playing lower grade RU. Hopefully he returns to the sport at some point.

There were times I didn't think he was so far away from Yaha in performance.

He was another victim of poor squad management. Promoted to the first team squad but then didn't get a game all year until that away match at Hull at the end of last season where he ended up trying too hard and had a shocker, and that was the end for him.

Quite a lot of players who have suffered from this type of thing TBH, Antoni Maria and Barthau come to mind as well as the likes of Robin, Springer and Navarrete who thankfully made the break before it was too late. There are a couple of other guys currently at the club like Margalet and Perez who also need to leave or face their career being ruined IMO. The problem is that Guasch wants St Esteve to win the league every year and doesn't care that needlessly keeping these guys around hurts their progression.
