| Squad for the game in Tallaght against Ireland.
Jean-Philippe Baile
Jason Baitieri
William Barthau
Julien Bousquet
Damien Cardace
Théo Fages
Jamal Fakir
Benjamin Garcia
Kevin Larroyer
Thibaut Margalet
Rémy Marginet
Antoni Maria
Tony Maurel
Mathias Pala
Eloi Pelissier
Mickael Simon
Frédéric Vaccari
Aaron Wood
Got to be winning the Euros on a regular basis to push claims of being the best of the rest. Not sure that's the squad to do it though. Doesn't look too great in the halves - Fages excepted - or the outside backs.

| Some of the other squads look similarly inexperienced. Ireland have included 8 from their domestic comp. Hopefully the tournament will bring through a few young uns. I thought France were poor at the WC and this gives opportunity for players to shine.
For Ireland they were on a hiding to nothing at the WC and again, it has to be good for them to get new blood through the squad.
Looking forward to the Scotland France game up in the borders.

| Same for Wales, most of super league regulars have pulled out for one reason or another, cannot see Wales giving France A game over there with the squad John Kear has at his disposal, but does give some new young guys a look at international rugby league. think France will win the comp,???

I think you guys will go ok. Kear has a good track record at getting the best out of the players at his disposal. Everyone's squad has a inexperienced look, Scotland look strongest IMO with 12 of the WC squad back.

were you part of the welsh crowd over the popular side Cru?
I thought you guys did great in the 1st half and early in the second I thought you might have a chance! Scotlands 3 tries in 5 minutes following that made it an uphill struggle for your boys, you really lacked a forward like Scotlands Walker and the obvious, a Danny Brough.
Connor Farrer looks a good kid and the lad wearing 12 (matty Barron) impressed me in a beaten side.

Plenty of discussion/abuse for French RL on the VT.
A couple of things for me.
Firstly this isn't solely a Catalans Dragons issue, it's the game in general.
Secondly maybe France needs to unify its season with that of the UK to avoid the situation where half the squad are tired from a long super league campaign and the others are under prepared being only four matches into the domestic season.
Well done CMR for standing up for us on the VT as well

| Aligning the season with the other pro leagues in the world is an absolute must. Don't know why it hasn't been done yet.

| It might benefit France to align the seasons. I think it would do us more favours tbh because it would mean our reserve players would be ready to go when we need them during the season.
Aligning the season probably wouldn't have made too much difference. Ireland had a solid team of Championship standard players. IMO the Elite(outside the top 3/4) is not as strong as the championship.
I read once somewhere that FFR didnt want to move their season because the summer there might be too much for semi pro players, dont know how much truth there is in that.
I know I really don't have the answer, and I dont think there is just one answer

| I'm going up for this one. Not sure who I want to see win the comp either. I suppose If France go up there and win they will deserve it, but it feels like we have been treated to some awful performances by the national team recently.
I think Scotland have built a good environment for their players to play in, are doing good work at junior level from what I know and this would be a good reward for them and the die hard fans over the border.

Why so? Scotland turned up in the second half!
One thing we've learnt from this comp is that the elite 1 is garbage. We need a second French team in the championships ASAP to give the French a wider player pool playing at a higher level to pick from
