Well McNamara obviously has his Roosters connections as well. I dunno - it's not a marquee name, but they just don't come to Super League any more.

Langi has played 12 club games in 5 years. He did look very good when playing for Leigh against us,but we were at that time the worst team in superleague.I do not think that Inu deserved his fate and the squad continues to look worse than at the beginning of last year.Does Anderson still class as an overseas player?

I am quite optimistic for next season having seen how well some of the younger players are developing. This World Cup is going to do wonders for Thibault Margaret, Nabil Djaout & Belmas.
A return to fitness for Simon & Maria will give the squad much more depth imo.

It's certainly exposed the lack of depth. And the flaws in a coach who hasn't had experience outside of LER - I mean, the defensive set-up is appalling and invites pressure on.
But, fundamentally, we need more players to pick from. Without that, you could have a wheel of camembert as coach and achieve the same results.

There are also of course some experienced players-Casty ,Bosc ,Gigot from last time who are missing.Nonetheless there is a presumption amongst too many of our supporters that we should immediately use more French players ,who play with passion and emotion-unlike L'etrangers who play with reasoned calculation-. We used a large number of French players during our darkest hours last summer and got slaughtered.In the longer term our u19 team may gradually begin to solve the problem.Meanwhile Pelissier has shown just why he should never be allowed back.

only 7 players back training for the first day of pre season, i no we have alot at the world cup but still.. signs of why our fitness is so bad right there.

French site has lots of rumours and opinions.It looks as if Bousquet is staying and some want him to play second line.I think he was an average second line when he played there last season.Still no definite news about Baitieri and Inu.I thought that Garcia,whom I have slated in the past, played well in the match against England and that Albert showed that he should be given a chance at half back.

Albert is the future.

Looks like Luke Burgess has gone to Salford. Safe to say we didn't see the best of him.

Great news about Walsh, i agree give Albert a good chance this year he will shine.
Wonder if Macca has signed Langi as a half back or if he will play him elsewhere?

He bigged up Langi as being a multi-functional player so I can see him playing several roles.
I don't mind the way we've used Albert so far, but I think it's time to get him more game time now.

Albert should at least be in every 17,and in my view should start. Excellent news re. Walsh. We need an outstanding second line.

Inu gone to Widnes

shame his last few games for us were not his best but over the last couple of years hes been the main attacking threat, we will miss him massively on the field.

Inu released from his contract and signs for Widnes.

Inu played less well this year,but I think he was inhibited by Broughton's injury.Inu had no confidence in Duport and simply refused to pass to him. I fear that the club has made a very bad mistake. We are clearly short of enough good players at centre and second line and it is very hard to see how we can get in the top 8 unless we have very few injuries.
