| Should be a good game in either widnes or leigh as I have heard the RFL have ruled out paris. I hope it's widnes, only 10 mins on a train from warrington!

| If not Paris, then London?
My first thought was that Wire are the toughest option out there. But frankly, we could lose to anyone on our form, though back in the day we could have beaten any one of these clubs - not holding any hopes though.

| I'm sure a healthy number of Warrington fans would make their way over to Paris, but it seems a bit daft to have the semi final around 8 hours away from the nearest competing team.

Very hard for them , there is a flight into Livrpool at 13h30 not leaving room for late flight and transfer, other option is into Leeds at 11.30, extra time on the transfer might see them make it on time . Saturday is out of the question flights too expensive + an extra night stopover adding to the bill, so basicaly not too easy for the supporters.
If the match was Saturday, loads of choices for a Friday flight return Sunday
cheers

| Dave, as I said, the 13:30 arrival isn't much of an issue with the game being at Widnes, Widnes is a 10-15 minute drive from Liverpool airport, no dramas for getting there!
If only someone could put a package together for Dragons supporters to come over for the weekend and go to both semi-finals! I wonder who could do that.....

yeh mate i know, but with a group of 50+ it takes time to get out of the airport and onto buses + if the flight leaves late parking buses, getting through the ticket gates, to seats etc
MATCH AT 4.30PM would be fine and thats what we were asking for ! won't happen though
3 nighter would work well taking in both matches
cheers

It was at the Halliwell-Jones, ironically. Can't see a result like that this time though. My Dilemma now is trying to split myself in two so that I can be at both Widnes/Leigh & in South Wales for the Scorpions home game that kicks off at the same time.

| Why not increase the number of punters and play the game at Wire? Give Catalans the home dressing room to make it "fair", don't see what a 10 minute detour for the Wire fans does to make this a neutral venue.

| Personally, I think the RFL are missing a trick here if the semi is in Widnes. I'd say it would do the game as a whole a lot more good if the match was held in Barcelona. This might be unfair to Wire fans, but consider the 18k+ that turned up for the last Wire-Cats match in Barca.
Catalans currently have reduced capacity due to stadium refurbishment and the club will be putting all focus on the Cup now that it seems clear that they probably won't make the play offs. If you have less fans able to attend home matches and the match held in the Catalunyan capital for their biggest game of their season I reckon they could get a massive crowd.
If the game was held in the smaller of the Nou Camp stadiums, which is a more appropriate size than the Olympic stadium, and strike a deal with FC Barca fans getting cheap tickets, playing on the fact that the Les Cats team that made it to Wembley were paraded at a football match, I reckon a good crowd is a dead cert.
It would also look fantastic on national television if RL could show how progressive they are by having a big game with a big crowd in a big Spanish city. Also, having 15k+ 'home' fans would look brilliant, very different and exciting to what we usually see of RL on the BBC.
Also, Les Cats might be struggling for form due to injuries, but the game isn't for nine weeks yet. Plenty of time for players to get fit and put in a massive performance.
Good luck!

Wakefield are the "the cats", or Castleford could be. Possibly Blackpool too.
Catalans, however are clearly the Dragons.
