Just wondering what clubs are to remiain winter with the NWC following their recent instructions to ask teams to run the options past the players??

Judging by how boring this Nwc's meeting is I'm guessing most teams won't get to choose cause we'll all die of boredom.....

big mistake going to summer i think, family men are going to struggle and people who go on holiday alot more... keep it winter an we just have to keep our cars running for longer bring up the tempreture of the world, godbless global warming! haha

i've always assumed i am the only one in there on the internet at the same time! don't see the point of having a special meeting - it's not a league decision it is one for individual clubs!

Our Club (Hindley) asked each player to vote - I voted for the switch to summer - I'm sick of extreme winter weather

It all seems a nice idea in theory playing in good weather etc.. but it will see the death of many a club. Their is already a shortage of players IMO in relation to the amount of clubs trying to field teams. Add into the mix summer rugby, 6 weeks kids school holidays, BBQs, family days out, summer holidays etc etc and just generally finding excuses to spend the nice weekends in beer gardens and alike. This will all have a negative impact on the number of players willing to turn out on a Saturday.

No problem with travelling to attend these meetings as we choose to play in this league but like has been said most of it could be done by email. In the past I have made the journey for a meeting lasting just 15 mins. Pretty bloody annoying considering Monday is soap night.

apparently, all the clubs are to receive a pack of information over the next few weeks from the RFL...

Not sure what difference a pack will make, your league committee have already been instructed from above what you will be doing

the league committee will not be deciding what my club is doing.

Good to hear, though somehow when the carrot is dangled and clubs follow it, I can't see you deciding against it no matter what you might think as fear of being left behind will force your hand.
