We (Folly seconds) had a good run out against Widnes Tigers today, think it ended 18-16 to them with a try right on the hooter more or less. Good run out for the lads, just gutted I had to pull out in the friggin warm up

Widnes St Maries A have now been put back into division 2 after they appealled at the reason to been relegated!! And now have a local derby against Halton Farnworth Hornets 1st game sept 4th...

Which must surely mean Dalton will now drop back into 3, having only finished 3rd last seaon?

Revised fixtures suggest that 3 will be left a team short.

Not to sure cowies think mmp could be on the money there tho...

I did notice that on the fixtures before St Maries went back up, that Div 2 were a team short, which left a team without a fixture on each game week.

Considering it took so long to get the fixtures out....I think its a disgrace.

If the committee don't embrace technology (and I don't think they do) then it is no wonder it is so outdated. Amazing really that they have a website at all! It is shocking and by far the worst league website I have seen.

Some good news for New Springs Lions: The Wigan Riversiders attended a meeting last night with the committee of New Springs Lions.

We where approached by New Springs who as of a few weeks ago where not running an open age team due to low numbers. The Riversiders have agreed to help out and make a non-official partnership for players to play for both clubs over the winter and summer. Our main goal is to become more competitive in the summer leagues and getting a stable side that play together year round is a massive step for us and obviously helps New Springs put a team out for the 2010/11 Barla season.

Following the meeting last night; New Springs where accepted back into Division 4 of the North West Counties, and competitive games start in 2 weeks time.

TRAINING: Will be held next Tuesday (31st August) @ New Spring’s home venue from 7pm. We ask all Riversiders players too meet at 645pm at the Club House.

Returning back to there own winter clubs. Players currently without a club we hope will be taking up the offer at New Springs.

Shevington Sharks start life off in the NWC Premier League with a very difficult home game against Wigan St Cuthberts on Sept 4th

They can be very encouraged with their victory over Ince Rose Bridge on Tues night. The game was played in quarters with Bridge fielding their 1st team in the 1st and 3rd quarters and their 2nd team in the 2nd and 4th quarters. The Sharks had just the 17 for this friendly, but new coach Neil Baynes [ex Wigan, Salford and Whitehaven will have been very pleased, with the fitness and some of the plays from the team

All the Sharks players will have got a lot out from the game, and Neil is looking forward to the season, along with the players so they can test themselves against some of the best amateur clubs in BARLA

I do, but I need the spreadsheet with the official fixtures. Otherwise I'll just be adding the fixtures week by week.
