| TV shows union rates like a piece of p i s s in Canberra.
Rugby league has always dominated the place.
You need to get your hand off your crowd figures, AFL-ARLT.

| Also love it how JB has AFL over RL in Darwin.
A few seasons ago when ch9 had the rights to both codes, Ch 9 received that many complaints from fans in the NT about showing AFL instead of RL that they had to change them around.
I've never heard of any station in any state taking off the dominant code for a so called smaller one, anyone else?
The NT still get Live Friday night RL and delayed Sunday RL, they get all the RL footy shows too, they get the same coverage the RUGBY LEAGUE STATES get.

From a few seasons ago.
Matter of fact, the Brumbies are out rated by every NRL, AFL, Soccer and Union club in Australia on TV.
Heck, even the Western Force do better on TV

He is going well.
The NT is equally rugby league and AFL played in different seasons.
Of course, rugby league rates better.
End of story.

| happy to change my ratings if you can provide any facts? Reality is AFL has a strategic intent to be No1 in NT and has this year signed a major deal with the NT ZGovt to make it happen. What's the NRL's response? Exactly.

| Wow, 800 people asked aye Reds?
And a few AFL fluff pieces chucked in for good measure too.
Maybe I should search for Roy Masters "winds of change" article from a few years ago that stated RL was killing AFL up there on TV and the number 1 team was the North QLD cowboys?
RL is stronger around Darwin, the AFL is stronger around Alice Springs and a few outback holes like Tennant Creek.
Anything else to add about your belove boggerball?

| Wow, the AFL have some money thrown at them to play games up there, so what, the NT government also pays RL clubs to play up there as well, but RL clubs aren't struggling as much as the Norths and Powers to bother taking a heap of games on the road like the AFL does (all in the name of exposure lol, when it's more to do with needing the money).
But don't wait for our little AFL lover to mention this, you'll be waiting a long long time as everything in AFL is perfect.
The NT mob have put their hand out before and said they'd go hand in hand with PNG for a NRL team, never heard them mention anything about a full time team in the AFL, have you?
Now Jb will probably come back with something about the crowds up there when the big teams play.
I welcome it, as the NRL usually gets bigger crowds.

| You guys complain when someone puts links in, so find them yourself then.
You seem to think you know all about RL in Australia JB, surely someone who loves the code as much as you do wouldn't have missed Roys article?
He stated the AFL tv ratings started falling in Darwin first and he believed it was going to spread nation wide.
He was right.

| the only code which has had increased ratings is the NRLs
AFLs ratings have been falling for years as nsw and queensland viewers have lost interest
when 200,000 viewers max will watch AFL games in 58% of australia it is alwauys going to be a struggle for them

a report was released on advertising dollars spent across australia divided up by states.
nsw, queensland and canberra accounted for 66% of the total.
places like perth and adelaide arent worth much to advertisers unlike sydney
indeed sydney + regional nsw / queensland exceeded victoria, SA and perth combined
keep trolling
