I have done a quick scan of todays Australian Media on-line.......and yes, AFL gets more inches in places where it's more popular....hardly shocking stuff is it?

No....all you have done is bag the media (and badly at that). It's easy to blame hate figures for failings in the game (see wigans fans love affair with Mo Lindsey for proof of that), but in truth, EVERY MAJOR SPORT THAT SKY/FOX/ESPN etc have got involved in is wealthier (pro rata) than before.....every single one. Sport needs TV/TV needs sport and regardless of your opinions (pretty short on facts btw), the ARL/NRL's problems are their problems, not the AFL/ARU or the wendyballers.
I am sure that grass roots RL is suffering as a result of the SL war........but as a professional sport and BUSINESS it is better off....and like it or not, that is a fact. You can blab on and continue to add your opinion to the debate, but PROFESSIONAL RUGBY LEAGUE is better off for SKY/FOX TV's involvement financially. If you want to discuss if they are morally better off, then start another thread
