| Firstly i must admit to having a foot in both camps and know a couple of heirachy at both our local teams.
Obviously a derby and often the underdog prevails but on form this HKR team seems to strong. Opacic is 50/50 but WP wont risk any player who isnt 100% and to be fair Sam Wood is in preety good form at present.
I understand Hull are trying to get a SL forward on loan but it may be touch and go the deal goes through in time for Friday.
Looking forward to a good game in front of good crowd, something our city needs.
Unless the sides meet at the MKM in the CC itlooks like Scott Taylor's last home derby. I understand he retires at the end of the season.

| With Cas playing Wakey as well, it is a big couple of points on offer for Hull. Win and it’s unlikely they’d be dragged into a relegation battle. Lose though, and it’ll extend their streak to 6 and they’d have to be looking over shoulders with some tricky fixtures coming up. It just depends when they bottom out… they shouldn’t be as bad as they were last weekend, for all that Warrington were very good for 40 minutes. I’m not sure what ails them, but we’re still at the stage where it is most likely something they snap out of this week or the next or the one after that. If it goes much longer than that then you really start to wonder where it’ll end, mind you.
I’m not sure the underdog does win the derby all that often - I think that is perceived to be the case because of recall bias. And/or confirmation bias. They won a lot in a row when they were at their best under Radford and we were having our mid-decade crisis. We had the better of it when we were half decent under Morgan. So, I’m more optimistic than normal. On current form we should be favourites (although I believe we’re not) even away from home. But you do get the occasional surprise result and if the Hull players find a bit of enthusiasm, it wouldn’t be that big a surprise. Bit of a test of our team’s ruthlessness, as there’s not huge pressure on them. Lose and it’s still been an okay start… win and we’re into appreciative murmur territory.

| Firstly, to correct the title/subject - this is a seriously DAUNTING trip to the west side. Standards have slipped alarmingly here.
Tough, tough, tough this one. To go to one of powerhouses of the global game is never an easy task. With the fearsome faithful behind Hull FC, it could be a hard 10 minutes before they turn against their team. That said, any FC team that includes Houghton and Shaul shouldn't be taken lightly. They've done us before, and so has Jack Smith - the current leader of the RFL's incompetency ladder. Rovers beware.
Personally think it'll be a tight game but hopefully HKR seeing the game out with Abdull channelling his inner Murrell to drop a goal at the north end. Should any scuffle(s) breakout Nev and Jimmy Walker to sort things out. Mickey to get binned/penalised for his Benny 'wasp' like windups. Mannson to play off a King offload.

| Appreciative murmur.
Now let’s crack on and hopefully make the play-offs with at least one game to spare.

| We'll, that was both fun and funny.
We played well, but sweet Jesus and the baby goats, Hull are terrible.
I always felt that under Smith (not just him to be fair) our defensive organisation was horrible, and I'm certainly not yet lauding Peters but Hull looked as if they couldn't shut a team down in a game of touch.
Really liking Lickley and King has to be one of the most underrated props in the competition.
Abdul, a joy in our system and we seem to be correctly building a side around him.

| A case of one club on the way up who have spent the last few years putting things in place off the field and building towards the future verses one who is going the opposite way
